@asnakeneverdies: South Park is or was pure genius. Nothing compares. Find the Mormon episode for one of the funniest productions ever to grace the small screen.

Haven't watched Simpsons in many many years, and never watched Futurama...and that statement is not meant to imply anything positive or negative on those shows. I guess I just outgrew Simpsons, but I did love the humor at one time.

It's the setting of "Disenchantment" that intrigued me, so I gave it a go and watched all of the first season. The Gamespot review is pretty spot on in my opinion. The first season is not great, and the character development is lacking, but it is not bad at all. There are some truly hilarious bits here ("Who are your best trackers!"), as well as era specific irony.

For me, this type of show/genre screams serialization. The problem is that you don't really get that until the last 3 episodes, but when you do it really starts to get interesting. So unlike what the guy in the video mentioned, I recommend sticking through to episode 7 or 8 before really deciding. I expect from the "cliffhanger" that the serialization aspect will continue.

With that said, I think "Disenchantment" would be (or would have been) well served by moving away from the Simpsons/Futurama formula and more toward real story and character development with, ofc, some of the ironic humor thrown in now and then. Who knows...maybe we will get that in subsequent seasons.

Luci, the aptly named demon, is kind of just "there", and really seems to just serve as more of a catalyst for Bean's mishaps, than a full fleshed character. Elfo on the other hand will grow on you and is probably just a fleshed out as Bean.

Actually, this is my personal favorite Tomb Raider game. Highly underrated. Once you get the controls down and get past the first couple of acts, it's a very rewarding game.

Tom and Gamespot, I think you need to be more concerned with some of the ridiculously outrageous high scores you give big time games that suck donkey butt....like Civ V. The major problem I see, other than the outright unfairness of these scores, is that you cause gamers to rush out and spend $60 on games that are fundamentally flawed to the core and unfinished. It simply smells of being "bought out". I haven't trusted Gamespot reviews in many years.
