How is this news? Of course it will will come out for PC. 6 months to a year after the console release, a sloppy, bug ridden port will emerge requiring 7 or so major patches including almost a whole shader re-write, performance and graphics tweaks to run properly. Just like GTA 4. And people will kiss Rockstars feet and say 'Thanks!'
SR3 was a blast to play, it was just plain 'ol fun. Each mission was a joy. GTA 4 was for me, frankly a bore. In fact I can't remember anything about it (unlike SR3). The story was uninspiring and unoriginal, and the missions were monotonous. The first Mafia game was better than GTA 4.
Anyway, they're two completely different styles of game. The whole GTA vs SR thing is like comparing Assassins Creed with GTA with Far Cry 3 with SR3 because they're all sandbox games! Saint's Row has gone out on a limb and it's all the better for it!
Johnny, whilst rifle-butting your squadmates and giggling like a 7 year old may be amusing from your point of view, it makes for benign and boring viewing from a viewers point of view.
I've just reached the level cap in this game, and have to say C9 is great. Good PvE, fluid combat and not a grind-fest. Not Pay to Win either; You can buy 'souls' with RL money (or in the game Marketplace with in-game gold) which you equip on costumes (which again you can buy from cash shop or Marketplace) that give SMALL boosts to crit chance, attack speed, Wisdom, Strength etc.
Good mix of classes too. The great thing though is its non-targeted combat system, which is nice and fluid and keeps the action going, not just a case of pressing hotkeys, waiting for cooldown, rinse, repeat. Graphics are good too, and as far as plot/story goes, it's not ground-breaking but it is coherant at least for an MMO.
This is just going to increase piracy even more. If some people aren't prepared to pay for a full game, they're definately not going to pay for a shell of a game when they can pirate all the DLC/the rest of the game.
@makseffect Admitting that you're a pirate does nothing except disuade publishers from releasing PC titles. Support publishers that do a good job of making PC games by buying them, and ignore the others.
