I'm actually excited about the expansion xD I think that the adjustments will change things a lot, so I'm looking forward to it. But I agree that the AH is one of the greatest failures in D3 and has to be restricted in order to work without ruining the actual gameplay. I'm not a big fan of the account bound method, but it might work. Or they could have just made a quota for AH items.
No matter what drops in game, the best items will still be in the AH, because that's where players put the loot they've found when they don't use it. Unless they restrict the number of AH items that can be put on a character, all their efforts will be in vain.
Eh, gender is an important part of one’s personal identity. While one can identify with any character because of their personality, it would be harder to identify with them on other aspects. The physical one is obvious, but there are other instances too. If a guy is playing as a female character, it would be hard for him to identify with her love for a male character. When I played ME2 and got Shepherd with Miranda (and Ashley in ME3 xD), I identified with the girls, despite actually playing as Shepherd. There are other things that are more or less specific to one or the other gender and might break the immersion.
So, while I agree that the gender of the main character shouldn’t stop you to play a game, it does matter in certain situations. There is a difference when I kill vampires with Rayne and when I slay demons with Dante (and I don’t mean the DmC one, eesh). In the first case I’m thinking “Oh yeah, I sliced you up good, didn’t I!” and in the second “Yeah baby, swing that big sword of yours and show them what you got!”...LOL :D It’s a different experience, since in the first case I feel like a participant, while in the second, more like a spectator. But both are nice and fun, that’s why I don’t mind playing with male characters :D And I understand when guys like playing with female characters :P
@TheDarkSpot @dark_harpy Well, not every character has to be fanservice to be awesome :P Again, haven't played MP3, but Max was totally cool in the first two parts :P One of my favorite characters in video games for sure :P

I haven't played The Last of US, so I can't say anything about the females in it. But I'm a girl and I think the whole thing is getting a little out of proportions. To the point that it actually makes women feel guilty for not acting like man. Talk about bashing your own gender. As long as they're not trying to underplay women as a whole, not every female character has to be Terminator xD
As for the male and female leads. I understand that guys identify with guys and therefore most prefer to play as a guy. That's totally ok and normal and I think it's stupid for anyone to bash male gamers for it. But since we girls identify with other girls, maybe we would play more games if we had a better choice of female leads. And one that weren't just fanservice for guys, but had some qualities to appeal to us too. Not that I mind the female characters being sexed up. One of the games I had most fun with was Bloodrayne, exactly because the main character was a badass sexy female ^^
I don't mind playing with male characters though too. Especially if they have some nice booty to show :D I totally played Mass Effect with male Shepherd :P Speaking of which, if they want to appeal more the us females, they should totally do us some more fanservice :P If you do that you can give the guys all the boobilicious babes they want :D We just want booty too :P
