600k is 36 million dollars......

espada12

That isn't enough for the time and money they will spend porting it to the 360.

KZ2 is the most expensive game every made and it costs 21 million...

Kid, youare spewing alot of nonsense.

1. 600k is NOT 36 million dollars for the publisher. Out of the $60 charged, pubs take home $20-25. Thats it. Its a fact, check it out.

2. Killzone 2 is expensive, but not the most expensive. Not even top 5 kid. Title goes to GTA4, $100million US cost. KZ2, $21 million, in New Zealand dollars, and that was 1 year ago. Production ramped up, and most money is spent NOW at the final phases. Be sure its around 60million US dollars, if not much more.

What is the worst voice acting you've heard in the industry? Please post examples.

Runner up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3vNPlQ4cE4

This is the worst voice acting I have ever heard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAtC1SzWSXg

I've heard some horrible voice acting before, but this is simply unexcusable.

Im a 100% playstation fanboy but i know damn well Gears2 will outsell MGS4 handsdown.

There really is no reason to not buy the game, its fun. Even though the story is not great

Playing last gen games is a chore for me. I have come too accustomed to HD and great graphics. I might just skip GOW3.ElectronicMagic

lol, GoW2 is a next-gen game compared to some of the garbage released on these consoles. I swear to you, you will not feel anything "last gen" with this game, graphics are great, beautiful art, 60 fps, and no loading except from the beginning of the game. how many 360/ps3 games does this today?

MGS is pretty short, but if you watch all the cut sceens then it will probably take you around 8 hours or so. MGS2 would take around 10 or 12 hours. I've never beaten MGS3, though.caseystryker

He's right about MGS1 and 2. For reference, i beat all 3 multiple times, and MGS3 can take you between 14-18 hours, depending how fast you can adapt to the gameplay and boss fights (The end can take anywhere from 10 mins to 2 hours to beat).

The graphics are not mind blowing.. Nothing compressed. Multiple languages. Would work on 2 DVD9 disks.

All true MGS fans should be used to 2 disks and im sure none of them had a problem with it.

mingo123

You must be 10. Even a 50GB Blu-ray isnt enough for MGS4, which is why Kojima has to compress some parts of the game.

Lol You know very little for being alive in the digital age. Compression can go a very long way. Depending on the type of data you are compressing you can get up to 80% compression. Kojima is a game designer he is not a programmer nor a tech savvy person. He tells people to do things and they do them. He cares too much for his precious 7.1 Sorround sound when 2.1 is what majority of the population have. Hell most people still dont have HDTVs. Metal Gear Solid 4 would not I will say this again WILL NOT have a problem coming to the x360 if it were to see fit.

I know very much for the digital age. And i know all you are talking about. I never said it wasn't possible, Im saying Kojima will not allow it. He takes his games as art, and hates compressing anything. He always wants the best quality out of his games, audio ESPECIALLY. So what the majority right now still only have 2 channels, or a SDTV. Playing the game years from now will hold up to its quality. Try replaying MGS1, you'll see what i mean.

And Kojima is a programmer in many ways you dont know.

so since blu-ray is not enough for him why did he make mgs4 for ps3 then :P

You tell me another console that can provide the most space he needs? Not like he knew what the size of the game would be until very recently, obviously.

And you forgot to get a screenshot from another game!

MGS4 has horrible textures so it can fit into DVD....also 99% of MGS4 is just cutscenes so thats why it takes all boo-ray....if it was compressed, it would easily fit in a dvd

mingo123

mgs cutscenes arent cgi theyre in game.

so whats taking up all the space? cant be those 1kb textures.....so i guess most of blu-ray space is taken up by character models?

What bad textures do you keep talking about? Have you seen the game lately, or are you basing ur opinion on E3 2006 videos?

PLus, its tha audio thats taking up all the space.

the textures in the game are still crap

Show me where the textures are crap. Then show me a game where the textures are far more amazing. I would LOVE to see your examples. Lots of evidence lies here in Gamespot, so you dont have to go far.
