@MooncalfReviews I love the spirit of this comment, but I disagree when it comes to your distinction between the kinds of games available on the two platforms. I feel that Xbox One will have the quirky indies and story-driven cinematic games too, and, aside from Titanfall, PS4 has all of the shooters, online games (more so, actually), sports games, and action games that the Xbox One has. I think the more important thing to look at is, unless you're about exclusives, whether you're looking for a media hub (Xbox One) that plays games or a pure video game console (PS4) that also offers a few media apps. From what I've read (I have neither), that's the real distinction.
@DefinitivePlus I'm pretty sure Sony already has these policies in place, and is just waiting for Microsoft to dig their grave a little deeper before announcing them. It wouldn't make sense that they change their whole system infrastructure based on what Microsoft is doing. Then again, I guess Microsoft is doing that in response to Sony.. hmm.. :)
@Alan David O'Driscoll There are Xbox One fanboys trashing the PS4 too, alll over. There are also PC elitists who are trashing consoles, and console fanboys who are trashing PC elitists. No matter where you go, there is trashing.
@b74kd3th Have you ever seen a monkey tell him to jump off a cliff? No? Then you're full of shit too. He's giving his opinion based on Playstation's policies, hardware, etc. So, for him, Playstation is a better match. He doesn't need to own one to know that. If you meet someone who says they're a dog person, they don't have to have had a cat to have an opinion. If you want an Xbox One, it's because you think it's better than Playstation, so you do the same thing.
@GOGOGOGURT Go for it, man. If PS4 doesn't appeal to you now, it will in a year. Most of Sony's best owned developers are hard at work on PS3 titles and once they've finished with those they'll start talking about their PS4 games that are in the works. Those are going to be amazing. Can you imagine a Naughty Dog game on nex-gen tech?? Oh my word...I can't even think about it...
Also, one of the biggest reasons I'M not getting an Xbox is due to the fact that I do not want to support a company that puts restrictions like this on their system. Because then that will become the norm, and I am NOT okay with that. My internet isn't connection isn't very good, and I tend to travel with my consoles. If I can't even use my console in certain places, what's the point? If the system is going to literally be a piece of metal in 15 years, what's the point?

My suggestion? Hold out on the Xbox One a bit longer. Even if you don't want a PS4, it'd be totally worth it to show Microsoft on their day of launch that their policies have screwed them over. That will make them think twice about what they've done, and it'll wake them up to the reality that gamers aren't sheep. I want to play the next Halo as much as anyone else, but I will not contribute to these insulting policies.
@jackyccm I'm not sure what you're asking...but if you're wondering if the DS4 won't connect via USB—it will. That's been confirmed. Oh, and you can plug headphones directly into the controller.
