The Switch is actually very powerful, considering it is a handheld. It needs to have a ton of games to justify its price point and the paid online, though, and I'm skeptical it will deliver on that front.

But yeah to answer your question it's the smallest jump between generations, and in some ways a downgrade.

Yes but its also a home console and is being marketed as the successor of the WiiU. We can't pretend thats not its primary function.

Its probably as much as a jump from the GC to the Wii. But in mobile mode its more like a travel to the previous gen.
