@augustevans: and that doesn't answer my question. Your thread is "Wii U to Switch generational leap size" and you are talking about (incorrect) numbers pertaining to X1 instead of Wii U vs Switch. When mobile, on paper, the Switch appears to be matched with a Wii U in performance, and when docked the Switch appears to be over double the Wii U's theoretical performance. The bandwidth of the X1 has nothing to do with whether the Wii U to Switch is a big generational leap. The answer appears to be 1x-2x+ leap over Wii U, depending on the power mode it's in

That's actually rather awful. The system is only on par with the Wii u and only slightly more when docked. Developers probably won't even bother taking advantage of the "docked" power

@augustevans:um, I quoted you, yes - and the second question is asking why that comparison to X1 has anything to do with the generational leap of Wii U to Switch

I'm clearly speaking about power that's why

How do you figure this? And the power relative to the Wii U is what defines the gap, no?

Did I say that?

The wii u is about on par with the last gen consoles and the switch is using mobile tech that is only 1/8 the power of the already weak X1. So, is the switch barely an upgrade to the wii u similar to the GCN to wii?

SNES<Sega Genesis

PS1, Saturn<N64

PS2<GC=Xbox (GC was really about neck and neck with the xbox)

@charizard1605: When it comes to crappy Nintendo hardware, the rumor is usually true.

Another underpowered "next gen" system from Nintendo. It will probably fail worse than the wii u. I honestly believe they should have marketed the switch as a 3DS successor, not wii u.

Why is it so hard for Nintendo to use decent tech in their hardware? The GameCube was the last system that had decent tech.
