these are pretty cool episode. i'm familiar with all the settings and what they do, but i don't know exactly how do they work, and Cam explains it well like usual :)
RIP AoE series. the second game will always be my childhood. i won't forget the LAN party. i won't forget someone who install it to our school computers and have a giant tournament.
Edit. it seems aiden uses, a pre-loaded app from his smartphone to access the devices connected to CtOS. it's not that much different when you download an app on your phone that allow you change your TV channel or turn it on/off with your phone. and we know aiden didn't create it, he's just a user of said app that control the CtOS. the only difference is everything is connected in WD, so if you gain control of the center, you can get everything.
i haven't played far, but isn't the first cutscene shows that aiden's phone is only the catalyst for the hacking? the actual processing happened in a computer somewhere, where his mentor is? so my theory is aiden's phone is connected to the computer. when aiden put command into his phone, the computer react and send the required signal to aiden's phone, then from aiden's phone to the device he's hacking. so technically it isn't the phone that does all the magics.
