It seems like PC gaming will forever be correlated (by most people) to pasty, physically inept, MMO addicts. Do yout think PC gaming will ever gain a respectable image?

Consoles clearly are the industry. Now, smartphones have found their place in the mainstream. But, will PC gamers ever be respected?

Does there come a time where you move to boards of games that you do like?

I'm not saying that this board should only be for positive things, but I can't help but wonder why some users hang out on certain boards with the sole intent to let everyone know just how much they dislike the game (and or dev) of the message board that they frequent.

Is there a point?

Halo 32, Gears 4, and Forza 5..... really?

That's the only thing that they have to play over there. The same, garbage Halo complete with outdated graphics (the series sucked after Halo 2), Shotguns of War, and Forza (with no weather or day/night time racing) EVERY YEAR. That's all MS has really been announcing. And on a side note, they ruined Splinter Cell. When it became exclusive, they turned it into another generic shooter, since that's all they ever play on the Sh*tBox.

I can already tell. Jak and Daxter HD, Twisted Metal, and Starhawk all look amazing. Last year was great though I was dissapointed. Littlebig Planet 2 was my Game of the Year 2011, and Infamous 2 was a favorite, though Uncharted 3 was utterly dissapointing IMO, and Resistance 3 and Killzone 3 were busts.

jak & daxter? the cartoony platformer? no thanks. didn't really like it on ps2. never was interested in twisted metal. it just looks pointless. starhawk looks interesting, but the only videos i've seen were a bunch of rocket spamming. i want to try it, though. i don't see how anyone over 11 likes lbp, lol -- no offense. infamous 2 was great; i loved that game. i haven't played uncharted 3, but it looks exactly like u2 but with less chloe. so now... they just shoved nothing but bland caucasians down everyone's throats (no racist). elana = bland look and personality. drake = corny dude with a very stereotypical, boring forward-swooped hair style. I still want to try it, though. Resistance 3 was a very good game. I don't see why it gets so much hate. Everyone loves to ramble about FOM, but that game was just another generic, "find random weapons laying on the ground and carry 4,982 weapons as if it's 1997" type of game. killzone as a series is a joke IMO. i got a 3.33 kdr as an engi in KZ3, but the class balance is horrible. it was my first KZ game. Everyone says it blows and that KZ2 was better, so I looked it up. That game is a joke too. Rocket spamming, one shot pistols, invisible campers with one-shot snipers? A class that has it's own radar of everyone with a personal robo bodyguard? How did anyone think these were good ideas? Cheap kills everywhere...

Your dismissal of Jak, LBP for things like art s(tyle) and age = fail

yeah, i forgot... opinions = fail *unlessofcoursetheyagreewithyou

What do you think is the likelihood that sony actaully supports the system this time? It seems like with the psp, they put out more systems than games -- at least quality games.

I was thinking about selling my ps3 collection for it, since I think this gen is over the hill as far as good games go (I like action, adventure, shooters, football, and a little bit of racing). It's mainly just sequals from here on out and most first person shooters are sold clearly unfinished (battlefield 3, smh).

The only thing keeping me from getting it is that it is widely considered a flop over in Japan. It has me thinking that if the system never really heats up, it'll be just like the original psp again (long live socom fireteam bravo 2, lol).

Am I the only one nervous?

OFFTOPIC: I really wish the vita was getting mass effect 3 at release. It would be perfect for the Vita.

battlefield 3. they've pretty much patched anything that can take choppers/jets down.
