I think the PC won E3

We saw demos of Star Wars 1313 and Watch Dogs both running on PC and they looked downright amazing. There was so much fidelity and attention to detail there it blew everyone away. Granted they are probably and most likely both coming to consoles too but won't look half as good as what was shown.

The only other games worth mentioning are Assassin's creed 3 which will look better on PC too when it releases and TLOU which I will admit looks pretty damn spectacular but still overall I think this E3 showed people what a PC can do. I can see lots of people building PCs for those games

Meh I think not. Have hardly heard PC being mentioned at all in the entire event. I don't think most people will draw the conclusions you did. If anything people will think how good games still look on the console (well that's what I believe they'll think). Sushiglutton

Yeah Iw as laughing my @ss off as demo after demo after demo was being showcased on a PC.

Probably because a game chuigging at 25-30 FPS, low graphics settings and at 720p would look like @ss on those humogous TV's they had hooked up. So instead the ran the dmoe's either of the PC verison of the game, or on PC developer workstations.

And of course the casuals will swear up and down that that's how the games will actually look like on their 8 year old consoles.

I think Nvidia could pull off such a thing if they felt like it, though you might need to be a bigger company more involved with games to have your own conference.

I think the point is that all the big/best games announced at E3 were pretty much all multiplats (except Last of Us) coming to PC as well where they will have better graphics and frame rates (i.e run smoother).

Windows 8 = shoehorn PC into tablets, shoehorn tablets into Xbox ecosystem for gaming.

PC isn't even a platform anymore.

The far cry 3 gameplay was also PC, they faked it by putting an unnasigned ps3 controller. If you look at the replay of the gameplay you can see it was unnasigned.

The big 3 were all scarily below average. Both the new Xbox and Playstations look like still a good 2/3 years away and the WiiU's 3rd party games are nothing impressive just a bunch of special edition versions of games that will be almost or over a year old when it eventually arrives around Christmas time. Their announcing a brand new WiiU title on Spike very soon but after that showing my hopes aren't great if I'm honest all 3 confrences ended very weakly Sony's being the strongest which isn't saying much.

You didn't even say why, you just said it. All Sony had was TLOU and GOW:A. Everything else was pretty crap. They had FC3 and ACIII too but both of those games will look and perform better on the PC too. All of Ubisofts stellar showings are the same case.

Everyone around is saying Sonys conference was pretty lame and TLOU saved it. PCs don't even need a conference of their own because most of the multiplat games shown were running on the PC version

The only real conclusion I've drawn watching this E3 is that console gaming seems to be coming to a rather tepid, slightly pathetic end. They really need that next gen out. It's not even remotely competitive right now, the PC completely wipes the floor with either console.

The best game this year and most likely quite comfortable GOTY for 2012 isn't even being shown at E3, it's a mod for the PC called DayZ. Just goes to demonstrate that E3 is by no means at the forefront of gaming. In fact it seems rather disconnected from it.

LOL what kind of logic is that? Because MS wants more money doesn't negate PC as a platform. If you knew about the history of Windows you would know that MS has been trying to implement a subscription service for quite some time (Since well before NT came out). So why isn't it being done already? Because they found out they could make loads of money with their partner program. MS makes quite a mint off of just business revenue alone. MS does get a cut off of web browsing. Are you not familiar with MSN? Are you not familiar with it's messengar program (which is loaded with ads). MS makes a ton of money off of it's internet products. You really should brush on what you know about MS before making general statements that are false or misleading.

I'm buying a new PC by the end of the year. I've seen all there is on current gen consoles. Time for me to enjoy Farcry3, Crysis3, Simcity and all other great games coming out on the PC. No more consoles until the next generation arrives.
