@gipsy_danger I honestly do not know why you want us or valve to convince you to buy that steam box. Ofcourse you are not the targeted customer of this. And I really dont understand how you get affected by these steam boxes as well. they only intend to add many living room gamers to PC gamers. Integrate the player types and make a large pool of players in one place to play together you know. Why do people need to ask dumb questions like this. You dont need it, I dont need it but there will be many people who will switch over from Consoles seeing that nothing changes. They will move to PC community by still playing at the convenience of staying in the living room and holding a console controller.
Not everything that comes out in the market is designed specifically for the purpose of attracting you. It also seems that anything that is not relevant to you is simply a joke. So basically, Cricket as a sports must be a joke as well for you and sky diving as well maybe?

You do realize this industry is huge and it is never going to die. Believe me who ever thinks it is going to die is simply not realistic. as long as the customers are available on this planet for gaming its hard to kill the industry.
Secondly, only companies that do not make a product that sells for good will go down the drain. We do love the gaming industry and support the survival of the best games out there and their developers. It is not the job of the gamer to make sure that each and every company in this industry keeps running. that is the job of the management and their strategic steps.
What you dont get is that there is no other industry that demands second hand sale proceeds to be forwarded to the developer/manufacturer. What do I own if I dont get to do whatever I like to the product for which I paid $60.

I was a COD fan before but stopped buying it after MW2. Not a big fan of yearly installments.
@elmatador93 Probably people from developed countries will order their products from third world countries then as there is huge difference in purchase price and the copy they have will be legit. :-)
@Tripwolf Does that really worry you as a gamer? Dont we tend to play only what we like? no other shit matters to me. FPS genre is overflowing too. I dont care as I dont play any. :-)
