I am looking at getting a LCD monitor, Wide screen, 22'. I have a ATI x1950 Pro that has 2 DVI ports. was wondering what I should be looking for in a good monitor as I am on dual garage sale CRTs atm. :P anything you guys can suggest ? I know that lower the refresh rate the better but other than that I'm lost. It will be for gaming/3d workshop/photoshop.

would be good for programming i suppose, to have more windows open for view at once. I usually have mirc, vent, and hlsw all open on my second screen when playing games which is helpful. I also find it very useful when I am in 3d workshop. Not sure if it is worth the money tho...I got both of my CRTs from the fleamarket for $5 :P

I was wondering how well Linux fared with games, or if games were able to be installed on Linux at all. I have been looking at Ubuntu and Gentoo, along with a few others, and they seem to be less resource demanding.

I have 2 harddrives, a 160gig and a 320gig harddrive. I want to know what would be better for gaming; To put the games on the smaller or larger harddrive, or if it even matters ? Same as with the OS.

Was thinking about getting the barracuda AC, its on sale and I have the headsets, But what does it do so well that my current card can not do ? i have a Audigy SE at the moment and would either like to get the new sound-card, or another video card and crossfire. which would be the better route to go ?

made a post about this a few days ago. I am looking for some good 5.1 headsets because my dog chewed my barracudas up. but some people said you don't need 5.1 headsets anymore ? i loved my barracudas just thought i would hear what everyone else was using.

I play it about an hour or so every so often...would probably be my favorite game if it wasn't for the massive number of glitches and bugs.

I would recommend the dimondback for that price range, that's what I have and I love it.

out of the two of those I would say the g5. A friend of mine has a g5 and really likes it. I think its too big :P
