I think the Radeon 5850 is probably the best video card out there for the money. Extremely powerful, runs cool, and quiet.

And as far as brands go, I think Sapphire is the best for ATI cards, but any reputable brand is fine.

[QUOTE="Timberwolf5578"]

5770 has already received a performance boost from the new 9.12 catalyst drivers. 5770 is catching up quick to the 4890 and GTX275 and after it gets a few more driver updates the 5770 will probably beat the 4890 and GTX275. The 5770 simply uses better and newer technology which enables it to run cooler, quieter, and use less power than the 4890 and GTX275. The 5770 also has DirectX 11 support. The 5770 is better in so many ways.

Hardly any difference in games, but a little better in 3dmarks

That's only one set of benchmarks for one particular game, hardly of any value. And anyways, would most users really even notice a difference in real world gameplay between a 5770, 4890, and GTX275? Probably not. But they would definitely notice a difference in noise and system temperature. Sure you can put a bunch of fans in your case, but again you are dealing with noise. Is that really worth it to get 3 frames-per-second more in a game? Not to me it's not. I would rather have a quiet, cool, and power efficient system. But to each his own I guess.

[QUOTE="zomglolcats"]Probably because it's more PC-centric. Which doesn't go over well with the console crowd.TerroRizing

only when the 360 version is balls, if its only kinda crappy then the console crowd will ove it as if it were the best game ever. Lets compare it to demons souls on ps3, risen is the better game yet demons souls got a 9/10 from mostly everyone.

Demons Souls is a superb game, but it has one MAJOR FAULT and that is no ability to properly save your progress. And because of that, I agree that Risen is the better game.

Risen is one of the best action RPGs I have played in years! It easily deserves at least a 9.0.

Who agrees?

Diablo 2 was my favorite game of all time until I played Demons Souls. Demons Souls is even better!!

Yes, the game is THAT good. Only thing is that it took me about 3 hours to get the hang of the game (because of the difficulty), but after that, the game became awesome!!

This game deserves a 10, nothing less. IMO, it's a AAAA game.

I thought Apocalypto was a lot more visceral, disturbing, and brutal than 300. In my opinion, 300 was basically a fantasy movie with alot of violence and gore. Apocalypto was much more realistic and brutal. Apocalypto was definitely a much better movie than 300. The acting in 300 was even slightly overly dramatic and cheesy.

Opinions?
