Apocalypto vs. 300

I thought Apocalypto was a lot more visceral, disturbing, and brutal than 300. In my opinion, 300 was basically a fantasy movie with alot of violence and gore. Apocalypto was much more realistic and brutal. Apocalypto was definitely a much better movie than 300. The acting in 300 was even slightly overly dramatic and cheesy.

I like Apocalypto better than 300.

I loved both.

But, in Apocalypto, Director Mel Gibson had the task of creating a more historically accurate movie, with no famous actors, about something most people had no real interest for.

In 300, it was a story based off of a comic, based off of a book, based off of a battle. In this though, it was more fantasy oriented. It was bloody, but I think Apocalypto had more realistic bloodiness.

Inmy opinion, Apocalypto wins.

Well at least 300 was kinda fun to watch even if it wasn't exact;y "good", whereas Apocalypto was just crap.

I liked both, but Apocalypto was a cooler story. They were both rather simple, but Apocalypto was a good revenge story, with overcoming horrible odds.

And what exactly does that have to do with anything? It seems you are trying to make a point here (in relation to my original post) although I am unsure of what it is...

And in reality, it's pretty safe to say most Nazi's were racists...that was a pretty big part of their platform lol.

Ahem! Apocalypto or 300?

Not a fan of the overly stylized action of 300.

I did enjoy Apocalypto much more than I thought I would though.

Both were quite good, but I'd give it to Apocalypto by an edge.

I liked 300 more. Apocalypto dragged on for way too long and it didn't make sense how the hunted suddenly became the hunter in the end.

Technically, the nazi's were just a political party in the 1930s and 40s who gained control of germany and used a cirtan group of people as scapegoats for all of the nations problems. I know im going to get bashed for sayng this, but Stalin was much worse. And half of the people in the nazi party were not racist at all. Its neo nazis that are racist today

apocalypto is without a doubt a better movie from the view of an unbiased critic, but both are equally entertaining as far as i'm concerned

I loved Apocalypto. I couldn't even finish watching 300...it felt like I was watching a massive, homoerotic WWE match.
