Does anyone know how dark souls plays with an xbox live silver account? Will it still have those "multiplayer" features or silver players are literally alone in the game with no previews of other player's actions?

Good question

I still need to get into Demon's Souls finally. :? People praise that game like it's the next coming of Christ so I'm definitely interested (I even own the game but never played for more than 20 minutes).

People who haven't really played it can't understand what it is about it but its just wonderful;)

So the most interesting boss fight of any game I have ever played has got to be the Demon's Souls 3-3 boss fight. If you play onilne, instead of fighting a standard AI boss, the game pulls in a human foe. While this is truly original, it presents some problems, as I cna only imagine a player in the shoes of a boss has the potential to be truly unbeatable. So is it worth playing the fight online, or is it just filled with insanely good tryhards who you will NEVER beat?

Sounds harder than it is, if you become the boss and win you can get that cool head wrap.

Perhaps it's specific to some gamers, but the notion that there is a very real threat to your character -- one that could, potentially, cause you to restart the entire game -- is an exciting challenge.

Look at it this way: when you complete the game, the taste of victory will be so sweet that you'll look back on your experience and say, "Now that was awesome!" Really, there aren't many games that can boast of having a difficulty level comparable to Dark Souls, and so getting through it will be something to remember.

And, of course, if thatyou do happen to get cursed, and you're having a hell of a time, call someone into the game. I know I'd love to join and fight through the world with someone.

I totally disagree, I put over 200 hours into Demons Souls and I wouldn't want to lose dozens of hours of character building because of those stupid frogs

Sigh... it breaks my heart to see this. I've been watching the 24 hour Dark Souls livestream with IGN.com, and just read their review of the game, and it saddens me to say that the devs have finally broken the golden rule of tough games, and made their adventure cheap. Now to be fair, it's not ALWAYS cheap. There are just two specific instances where I feel the game is just plain broken.

1. Curses - in the game, a frog enemy can curse you, cutting your overall HP by HALF. This is familiar to demon's souls players, as it was the same consequence of dying in the first game. But the debuff stacks. So you can actually be so far limited by your max health that EVERY enemy can kill you in just 1 hit. And the curse does not fade upon dying, and can only be healed by an NPC in a few specific areas of the world. This can effectively break your game save, and one of the IGN editors says that he must not restart his character because of this game mechanic.

2. One of the boss fights features an enemy that shoots a corrosive bile that can degrade armor quickly. The problem is that once armor has been broken, it's gone forever, and you can't repair it or get it back. This means that the one boss can destroy your entire arsenal of weapons. That's not fair, and that is NOT fun.

I think we all knew in our hearts that in order to make a game harder than Demon's Souls, they were going to cross the line into cheap land, but it's just really sad that they've done it. Not sure I'm even going to be picking up the game anymore. Having to retry a boss 17 times for 4 hours because he's hard, I can handle. Having to restart my entire game save because of a game breaking mechanic. That is just NOT fair.

I watched the livestream too and this does suck but the game still looks great, hopefully I will love it as much as I did Demons Souls

My friend has on old tv that doesn't have any composite inputs, so he can't hook up his 360 to it. It only has the cable input, is there an adapter that will hook up and allow him to plug in the composites? Kinda like what the gamecube had I guess

The Remote-Detonated Explosives can be found in Jenson's apartment, in his secret stash. There's a keypad next to the doorway to his kitchen. Hack it, and the TV will move, revealing a stash of various weapons and ammo in the wall.

Still haven't found the grenade launcher.

Yep, me either, already have other stuff. BTW, I also have the other pre-order DLC weapons from Amazon and cant find them either. Getting annoyed
