@HipHopBeats Yes, Nintendo may need to go the way of Sega by becoming reduced to a software company only. I would, at least hypothetically, play Nintendo-made games on Microsoft or Sony consoles. But, in my opinion, Sonic was at his best on the Sega Dreamcast in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic games since have never been able to replicate that level of greatness on the platforms of its former competitors. That is not to say that a similar fate could await Mario and company should Nintendo forego the home console business, but it is something to be mindful of.
The Wii U continues to be a colossal failure. It has arguably the worst console name in the history of the video games industry. It was poorly conceived; it was poorly envisioned; it was poorly promoted; it was poorly defended; and its units sold numbers remain dismal. Is it any wonder that only a year since its launch, the industry is wondering if it is now the time to consider burying the hatchet? Frankly, the Wii U, as it is, should never have made it pass the drawing board. SImply put, this system was a judgmental error, and it poor sales and dearth of third party support are only confirming what was evident since its public reveal. Nintendo, as least in the home console business, is now the sick man of gaming, and it is time to either make radical changes to the Wii U or pull the plug before its company's legacy is besmirched beyond repair.
And so another luminary is lustily quaffing from the wellspring of feminism. After he takes his fill, he chastises the appearance of Quiet for being "overly" sexualized, as if sexuality had a pecking order. When the support for equal gender expression degenerates into the anathematization of certain female (or male) expressions, how much societal progress is lost?
The hatred of sexual expression is vile and infamous, and it is contemptible that it still pollutes the minds of today. Why else would Kojima feel compelled to substitute a word of sexuality for one of mere attraction if not to mollify the cringing and feverish moral authorities of the world?
Compared to the Deluxe model, the Basic one is simply a rip off. Only a shortsighted fool would purchase the Basic model, which is why many retailers have ceased carrying it. Therefore, the majority of would-be Wii U owners have to consider shelling out $350 for outdated hardware and the steadfast parochial vision of its company. Is it any wonder why the Wii U is selling pitiably poorly? Since unveiling this console, Nintendo has been continuously shooting itself in the foot, and Iwata's denial of an obvious truth--while understandable given his position--only marks one of its many self-inflicted wounds.
Although derided by critics, I actually enjoyed the occasionally (read frequently) frustrating game that is Yoshi's Story. It's unfortunate that Yoshi's much anticipated return, by me anyway, to the home console appears to be in the form of a rebadged Kirby's Epic Yarn. More innovation in game design would have been appreciated.
Well, it looks like Ubisoft discovered critical thinking or rather common sense in deciding to rename their DLC from the "Tyranny of King George" to the "Tyranny of King Washington". I mean it's not like there was a historical King George III during the American Revolution that could possibly be confused for the fictitious King George Washington, ambiguously known in the game as King George when the DLC was first teased... Oh wait. Never mind. Way to go, Ubisoft!
