I would love to see a strictly hard disk based handheld.
One of the things i hate about handhelds are carrying all the crap around, downloading just makes more sense.
Buy games online.
You'll find everything you want, without having to look through all the crap.
The game looks great. I particularly like how well the sound and atmosphere is done. I will certainly pick this up, unfortunately it looks like House of the Dead is going to grab my money this month.
To everyone else, ten hours is the length of the average game these days. Some games get away with very short single player scenarios ONLY because they have multiplayer, in a game like this it's unneeded.
SMG proved that platforming (specifically 3D platforming) was still relevant with tight controls, well designed levels, and extensive polish.
While LBP certainly has polish, and does a lot to advance the genre (specifically 2.5D platforming), it's still a well-made sequel or two away from perfection. My biggest problem being the controls. In all games, but especially games that require precision jumps, tight controls are a must and play both back to back and it's clear how much better mario handles.
For now, SMG>LBP. As for SMG 2 and LBP 2, that's anybodies guess.
Just the other day I was reading MSNBC and saw a big article in the tech section about how the Wii needs more good games. When even non-gaming news sources recognize that a console needs more good games and less shovelware, you know something is up. (Oh, and, don't even go there with MSNBC's relationship with MS - the same tech section has published multiple features on the 360's RROD, on the problems with Windows Vista, etc - they're hardly a source that panders to MS's interests)Shafftehr
Consoles can always need more games, but what it seems with Wii is that they need more high-profile games and more marketing for games that come out. Zack and Wiki and Trauma Center were amazing games that I recommend to just about everyone, but it doesn't help if nobody knows they exist... or worse, doesn't know they're worth their time.
Thats comprehensive? No allow me...and since you used games like Okami, multiplats are welcome.
I cant get through the PS3's large comprehensive library....its taking a toll!!!

Honestly, do you have the time/money to play all of those?
My point with game librarys are that they are always (with exception of obvious failures like N-gage, jaguar, 3D0, CDi, etc) more good games than any normal working person can get through within the existance (assuming you don't shoehorn yourself into only playing 1-3 genres).
While I'm not sure I'd use large and comprehensive to describe Wii's library, but there are certainly a lot of games ranging from good to great to must-play for those that actually bother to look. I'm betting, more than enough for most videogame players.
A lot of people have bashed the TC's list, but all of those are very fun games... and some of those games (Metroid, SMG, Z+W, World of Goo, and NMH) I feel sorry for the gamers that will never get to experience them (or choose to ignore them). In addition to that list you've got two Trauma Center games, the multi-plats that are actually as good or better than PS360 counterparts (Rock Band 2, GHWT, Tiger Woods), good remakes that improvedon the original (Godfather, Okami, RE4), reimagined games (Skate it, Shaun White), a slew of games people keep forgetting for whatever reason (Warioware, Warioland, de Blob), and a digital download service packed with a bunch of games.
Of course one should remember that this year's lineup has several potential gems right around the corner including HotD Overkill, Madworld, Conduit, Punchout, S+P 2, etc.
The point isn't that Wii has the best library of games currently (I think that belongs to 360 at the moment), but there are plenty of games on the system to satisfy just about anyone. I mean, buying between 7-10 great games on a console justifies it's purchase and there's much more than that already available.
I think that's the end of game journalism in print.
I prefered Next generation though; that was good reading.
You don't (or you shouldn't anyway) hold your arm in the air to play. Anyone that plays a Wii knows that for a serious/deep game you rest your arms/elbows on your legs. This limits movement allowing for more precision, not to mention that it actually makes marathon gaming possible.
Also, people with sense don't dare say the Wii is better control than KB/M. I'd say KB/M takes the gold with Wii only earning a few extra points for being naturally fun, but the point is that it's significantly better than Dual Stick. Thus Wii enjoys the bragging rights of having the best console controls for FPS.
