Thanks for the help guys.

To go on further, this is an Xbox S 4gb less than a year old so I hope it's not a laser issue... plus dark souls works fine. I have updated the firmware, but it played fine for three brief sessions; odd that it's having issues now.

And since it's a gift, I don't have the store as an option... I guess into the abyss of 'calling customer service' I go, atleast dark souls has prepared me for that.

I got Arkham City for christmas, played a little. Now everytime I start up the 360 and select play game, it says "disc read error."

It only happens with this disc, and up till the point when I finally popped the disc out to inspect/clean it, it was pristine and hadn't left the console. Is this truly a disc error? Has anyone heard of any similar case.

Hey guys, I as big a Zelda fan as anyone, but lets remember that reviews are opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs based on their individual tastes.

And ultimately, reviews and awards mean nothing. Citizen Kane lost the best picture oscar to How Green is My Valley... and Crash won a best picture too. What lives on in the public's mind after years of hindsight and what gets the short term glory based on current trends are very differnent things.

I think we can all agree that there is way too many good games out this season.

I've been using my 3DS alot since getting it earlier this month, and I've been playing a lot of the DSi games that I missed out on (Shantae, Cave Story, etc.). Thus I've been using the Dpad a lot, and I've noticed it getting stiff and sticky and making a lot of 'plastic on plastic' noises.

Recently got a new PC, and of course went out and got some reletively older games on the cheap.

So I installed Bioshock, looks great, runs great, but the sound doesn't work after the plain crash. I thought this was weird because the background music in the menu works and the sound/music/voice over works in the games opening (when the guy is holding the cigarette and wallet). Is this a sound card issue? Driver?

I've reinstalled the game twice and run into the same problems and updated my computer as much as I can. If anyone can give any other suggestions I'd appreciate them.

I have all three of these games and it's still hard to pass up this deal.

This is even better than the orange box

Majora's Mask is meant to be on the Vitrual Console. The conceptual nature of the game is only benefitted by it's new context as a downloadable game, and with the Wii giving you the ability to play this game with a better, more reliable, controller.

The game's better now then it ever has been, and it now has a wider audiance to appeal to. This game is a steal at 10 dollars.

OOT. All the other games did everything OOT did only better and with more variations to the gameplay.

Make sure the discs AND laser lens are 100% clean before returning stuff. Sometimes a nice clean lens can make up for a kinda scratched disc.

If Nintendo had updated its hardware to the level of the Xbox 360 and the PS3, we would be playing much better games. Do you think Nintendo screwed itself ofver by not updated its hardware?

machod_19

That's not true. Nintendo has the amount of software it has due to it's reputation/report with Western developers/publishers (both of which, have been leading many advancements in gaming) it developed starting back on SNES. It has absolutely nothing to due with hardware power.

That being said, Wii has housed some excellent software in spite of it's hardware. Z+W, Trauma Center, Madworld, HoD OK, SMG, Metroid Prime 3, World of Goo, de Blob, No More Heroes, etc. have all been quality, "Next-gen" designs that use the Wii's hardware and control scheme to it's advantage. Wii has two problems, not enough developers outside of Nintendo pushing the Wii and the fact that games that do, don't get bought.
