I too watched the show in its entirety, getting there early for a shot at one of the ten signed posters.  As far as proof goes, the event was hosted by Ryan MacDonald (which doesn't happen all that often these days) and the demonstration ran through the three (or so) different types/classes of characters that can be played.  Also, I was unable to watch it in internet explorer - I had to switch over to firefox to view it.

My 360 will be a year old in less than a half a month.  And while it's froze on every single one of the 80+ games I've played at one time or another, it hasn't died.   Yet.  My fingers are permanently crossed, though, because two friends have been through three consoles apiece.  (the first two for each of these guys were from launch though)

[QUOTE="gp19"]Ok, really people... I need you to read my initial post, so you don't end up agreeing with me using different words.gp19

Your original post doesn't offer an opening into any sort of discussion outside of whether or not so-called achievement whores are gaming for points rather than for fun, for an escape. You asked for opinions and that's what you're getting.

Perhaps you could enlighten us as to where you expected the discussion to go.

Heheh, you seem pretty upset, but here's an example of the kind of attitude i'm criticizing: "I want to get my gamerscore up, any suggestions on a game I can get 1000 points real fast?". It has been posted like a 100 times. Another example (personal xbox live conversation): "Ok people, here's what we gonna do: the other team is going to stay still so we can kill them, then we have to do the same thing until we all get this achievement". Those 2 examples sumarize my point of view.

I'm not upset.  Quite the contrary.  This whole discussion is moot.

Stay in school.

The pursuit of achievement points has led me to experience facets of individual games and entire game genres that would've otherwise went unexplored.  Achievements have revitalized the hobby for me.

Those who bypass the actual playing of games merely to acquire points (those who use others' game saves to increase their gamer score) are the only ones who are missing "the whole point."

I don't know that I would've been better off wearing a diaper while playing them, but Condemned and Fear had several moments that sent shivers down my spine.  And I consider myself a horror buff.

They resemble the Oblivion achievements. XlpranksterlX

My thought exactly.  And the resemblance is a good thing.  It wouldn't make sense if the developer did a 180 and instituted non-quest based achievements.

The only thing I don't like is the price of the expansion.  That said, I'm sure I'll end up buying it.  I've been a fan of the Elder Scrolls series for more than ten years.

The only thing that these three games have in common is that they're well made, quality titles.  I'm a fan of all three so I say go ahead and pick up a copy of Oblivion.
