I feel that Ellen as host was a result of Jon Stewart as host last year. Jon's comedy is very pointed and often controversial, while Ellen's is rather broad and bland. Jon made several topical, poignant (IMO hilarious) jokes that left the Hollywood audience silent and unsure of how to react. Ellen, while entertaining tonight, was a very safe choice as a follow-up host.
This reeks of some kind of ign user hoax. There are plenty of games on that list that are still flying off of shelves at retail price. While there are three Best Buys in less than twenty minutes travel time from where I live, I won't be visiting a single one.

I haven't heard of a Futurama revival but I'm now hoping that this is true.
To the original discussion, I'm a fan of both Simpsons and Family Guy. While I think the Simpsons is a smarter show (regarding the writing), it has become less entertaining of late. Family Guy is a great source of cheap belly laughs - a lot of fun.
