For quite a while, I've been planning on creating some video news as a fun and interactive way to spread information to the union. At this point I am preparing to release the first episode. However, I do need the assistance of a person or two for this first edition. If anyone is interested in helping out, please let me know as soon as possible.

Challenge for November 9, 2007.

This challenge is a form of 'hot writing'. You are to think about anyone and without stopping write a paragraph or two about their opposite (If they like socks, your character should hate it.) Also, you should name your character the backwards spelling of their first name.

Note: Try writing your piece in the span of 2 minutes. I promise that it will provide a fun excercise if done properly. Don't worry about it being all neat and pretty, post whatever you come up with in the span of 2 minutes. In the case that you can't think of anything to say, just type "red blue red blue ..." and so forth until time is up.

Though a few people here-and-there may commend my writing skills, I personally don't take much pride in any of my work, nor am I all that confident in it.Butsutekkai38

A WWII general has been quoted as saying, "If you don't take pride in yourself, if you don't boast about yourself ... who will?"

Be loud, be proud! Some people are amazing writers, the rest of us do it for fun, but that doesn't take anything out the meaning behind the words ... those who can write just present it in a nicer way. Writing is a personal thing that you should gauge your progress in against yourself, not others. Welcome to the union and I hope to see you posting soon.

Well, take a biased newspaper. If the author took a quote and removed part of it, I suppose that, if the fact is still correct, it's still a fact, with a biased twist on it. HyperMetaDragon

And thus manipulated. A perfect example of this is the crappy movies that put in their previews ... "a fantastic show ... " when in reality the article could have said something regarding an actor being excellent despite it being a crappy movie. Manipulating the facts, can be described in the media as only taking part of the facts and twisting them to give them a different meaning
