Hell the kinect takes a good chunk of CPU cycles just to scan nothing in the room when it is on doing nothing.
The damage to how the xbox one is made is already done it will live with it for the rest of it's life. the TV crap will take up system power if people use it or not and devs can't use it because the have to assume people are using the TV crap at all times.
