This GPU is a dud not only did it come very late to the party but Nvida's top GPU geforce 8800 series stomps on it in real world games and uses less power to do it. This is like the geforce 6800 direct x9 shader performace disaster in terms of how bad the GPu came out. My last 3 GPu were ATI GPU and i loved them and i have not used Nvida since the geforce 4 ti 4600 (and i loved it). But this ATi 2900 XT GPu is just a mess I am going to change back to Nvida for direct x 10 if ATI don't Fix this with there next GPU. Ohh and Right now You can get Nivida top end GPu that can keep up and pass this GPU for less than ati. I like ATI and NVIDA. I liked they way ATI has done things more since the 9800 pro but this GPU I can not find a good reason to buy it,
I have always like the xbox 360 dash board better than My PS3 dash board, this makes it even better the low power download is what seals the deal I will save a ton of money on the electric bill. The xbox 360 and PS3 cost a ton of money in electricity to run this will cut my cost for my xbox 360. And my Wii low powerstandby download mode Has nothing to download as of this date So ido not see the point but the wii cost next to nothing in electricity.\ So i leave it on. and i still want to be able to fast foward and rewind my music on the xbox 360.
The worst thing about PSP next to loading is it's battery life. My PSP almost has the battery life of my Game gear and turbo express, and atari lynx. 3 portables that had to be pumped up full 6 AA's battries and had what was considered the worst protable battery life ever. Of course the king of the battery killers is the turbo express the coolest most flashy portable of 1990's lasted 3 hours playing bonk before a pack of expensive AA power cells had to be bought again. I could not afford to power it and it had to sit pluged into the wall until i got power cells. My psp has lasted only 3 hours on a few trips when playing some games. So there you have it the PSP is the game gear and turbo express of 2006. going up towards the weaker gameboy and DS and loseing just like those..... history repeats ! The PSP even looks like a game gear and has wacky portable T.V and crazy addon's/options. Who cares about how PSP looks? Game boy advance games look fine to me i never use my PSP ever it never leaves the house either my DS lite and gameboy do. The game gear and gameboy black and white war prove only games and ease if use matter really I mean byt the gods! the game gear had color and lasted 3 hours on 6 AA's but everybody wanted the black and white gameboy more..
The PSP is a disaster who ever thought a spining optical drive for portable games is a good idea should be shot this makes you wait and kills battery life. And did i mention 87% if the games are dull and i rather carry my old black and white brick game boy around and play it because it has better games, no loading times, and longer battery life than a PSP?
One of the first pentuim 4 "extreme" (spelled galltain? core) i bought easy got to 4.0 ghz with a simple water cooling setup was fast 2 years ago i'm still using it until at least triple core CPU and vista come out. having a mountain mods case with 6 120 mm fans helps too www.mountainmods.com
