I just create the character I find attractive. Either male or female. Creation tools are always so limiting, but closest to perfect I've got was in DA2.
With males I like to go with manly beefy short haired and short bearded mages ( more attractive than myself anyway...) and with females I like to go with as sexy as possible with big boobs... I never tried to create a character to resemble someone, but I might go with Claudia Schiffer in DA3... she was my first crush back in the 90's. Although, I will play as male character, Claudia will be just a test character.
@ExtremePhobia @Shinteikun true... bad example maybe... but JRPGs tend to have flashy battle... FF15 so far doesn't... in terms of visual special fireworks effects...
I know in real life battle clashes don't produce light effects, but than again the main reason I play games is that they're not realistic...
battle looks like combination of Kingdom hearts and the bouncer... both SE games from ps2 era... personally I need more flashy battle... I like when a sword swing leaves a glow-y trail and each hit is a fireworks of light and magic... remember Omnislash from FF7? That made me grin every time.
Characters look exactly like Kevin Van Ord said earlier... like a K-Pop boy band... I'm not a fan... but it's too soon to judge anything. SE is known for spawning amazing and terrible games...
@JimmeyBurrows @OurSin-360 originally this was supposed to be a spinoff to ff13 called versus, where the game is set into the same universe of Fabula Nova Crystallis... but I guess they rejected that idea seeing how ff13 wasn't really a hit.
if there is any reviewer I trust, it's Kevin. by default I agree with him in 99% cases. too bad this turned out to be such a frustrating game... I'm kinda in a gaming dry season, I hoped this would provide at least a bit of humidity...
Like many things in life, MMOs are bad for you as much as you let them to be. You actually have a choice. It's same as drugs, alcohol and smoking, you do it because you CHOSE to do it! Well, not same... normal dosage of video games isn't bad... as long as it's in normal dosages.
My first encounter with MMOs was WOW... I loved playing it, but I never neglected my work, family, GF, friends and my exercise. After 2 months I quit, returned twice (2 months again)... played few MMOs after, but never got addicted. Not because I disliked them, or got bored... because I didn't let my actual real life suffer because never ending games.
My point... you are who you chose to be, while life throw at you things you can't chose, becoming a gaming hermit IS A CHOICE!
@jeffosoft @Shinteikun original PSX was a compilation of mess... it took Sony years to make it perfect! N64 was bad from the start to the end... I'm not sure about nes, snes and Sega 16 bit consoles... that was before my gaming time, I did play on them, but at their end years...
