Thanks for the answer and thanks for the info. A few more questions about the card, if you don't mind. Are there universal cards or will I need specific to the Wii U? Will the installation be particularly complicated?
Is there any word on whether Nintendo will be including any Twitch functionality wit the Wii U? I only ask because I'd love to stream Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8 matches when those games drop. If not, how much would a decent capture card cost? Also, is it possible to find them in stores at all?
Brawl was the high point for me of the series. Even though i still have Melee. But i still play brawl on my cheapo wii nintendo sold (i forget what it's called)
anyway, i figured, the only reasonI'd buy a wii u, ever is for this game. I'm not sure yet, from what I've seen, it's lesser than brawl. And i could just as easily get it for the 3DS. But i feel I'd be missing out on the wii-u features and stages and etc.

When Smash gets into the last month or two prior to release, the Wii U will sell out freaking everywhere. I have to imagine that Nintendo will have something playable at E3 and any subsequent cons, and those lines will be even longer than the ones for the Brawl demos were.
That'd be a good way to go, I think. Snake was a weird choice, but he fit well despite being completely borked. Konami would do well to go with a different franchise if they wanna donate another character to Smash. I'd love to see Simon Belmont.
It's just as good as the multiplayer, and easier, really, in some respects. The thing with this game and the New Super Mario Bros games is that multiple players, especially inexperienced players. tends to cause a lot more frustration from accidental death. Single player does away with that.
...that my character list changed all of a sudden? I initially skipped the tutorial so I could play with my brother the other night. I used Karma for the handful of matches we played and liked her a lot. Then I did the tutorials so as to make sure that I didn't miss anything and when I did another custom match after neither Karma nor any of the characters I had before were available. I ended up using the Fae Sorceress (and went 0/13/1). Why did they change and will I have to shell out funds to get her as I'm not really able to play matches that earn me IP right now?
