I recently got into an argument with a friend of mine about this topic. In my opinion its KOTOR hands down, He said Battlefront (Which is a great game don't get me wrong) but it got me thinking what do you guys think?

Between those two, KOTOR, but my favorite of all time is Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, because it's the perfect blend of FPS and third person lightsaber play. Plus the whole Dark Side/Light side paths and force powers alignment were just such novel concepts when it came out, and that was six years before KOTOR was released. Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy are probably all better, especially on the multiplayer front, but Jedi Knight is still my G.O.A.T of Star Wars games because of the nostalgia. That all said, I'd take any of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games and Republic Commando over Battlefront's loose and shoddy gameplay. Aside from those two series, I also love the X-Wing/Tie Fighter, Rebel Assault, and Rogue Squadron games.
KOTOR is my favourite but I also really enjoyed The Phantom Menace on PSOne and Racer Revenge on PS2, would love a current gen pod racing console game that plays like Wipeout.
KotOR is probably my favorite. But I think I had the most fun with Force Unleashed. I said this in another thread already, but I'm well aware that it's a broken mess of a game. But it sure was a fun broken mess. There was just something crazy fun about Force grabbing a Stormtrooper, hurling your saber into it, shocking it with Force lightning, then hurling the still twitching remains into even more Stormtroopers.

Completely agree!
The only Star Wars games I've played are KOTOR 1 and 2, Rogue Squadron 1 and 2, Battlefront and Jedi Knight. In my opinion, if I'm allowed to have one on internet, the best one of them was KOTOR 1. Its a game that got me into RPG's. But the others weren't bad either.
Jedi Outcast for sure. Full Stormtrooper decapitation (every limb plus head) with a lightsaber. Never gets old. Turn it on for yourself too and lightsaber fights get a lot more interesting and tense. Your heart sinks when you see your arm or head come off for the first time. All it takes is one touch or a slight nick (no sissy second chances or multiple hit BS) and off it goes! Multiplayer duels were great, too. Loved that game.
My favorites for last gen were The Force Unleashed 1 and 2 because I love the Ep.4-6 era and it's characters. I'm extremely fed up with the Ep. 1-3 era since and it's characters. They're no where near as interesting as the earlier (or later in canon storyline) characters. All in all though, my favorite SW games are
The Jedi Knight saga
Dark Forces
Force Unleashed 1&2
Shadows of the Empire
Republic Commando
Battle Front
The Super Star Wars SNES games
LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga
Revenge of the Sith, even though I hate the voice acting for the game.
I have some SW games that I wish I never knew existed too though. Like The Original Trilogy for the GBA. I was a dumbass and thought that it would be the SNES games ported to the GBA when I bought it. I WAS WRONG AS ****. The Clone Wars for the PS2 brings me to the brink of tears and so does Attack of the Clones for the GBA. I thought I was going to enjoy The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes but I was damn wrong about that too. Its torture trying to play it. I'm on the last part and simply refuse to touch it lol.
I Haven't had the pleasure of playing KOTOR yet, but I will. I have a lot of expanded universe to catch up on. (SW noobie over here).
I loved the Rogue Squadron games and KOTOR 2 (yes, 2, dodgy ending and all) is fantastic...but Jedi Outcast takes the crown for me. The feel of the lightsaber combat and force powers, combined with the great variety in the missions, has not been topped.
Haven't gotten around to playing all the Star Wars games yet, but gotta give love to Republic Commando. I believe it to be one of the better FPS games of all time. I think developers that plan to make First Person Shooter games need to learn from this game. It has the perfect balance of challenge and consistly making the game difficulty as you go on. Great characters, great story, great levels. Just Great everything. Other than the mutiplayer, which wasn't so great. But the Campaign is enough to love.
I'd have to say no game quite captured the Star Wars universe like KOTOR did, but Republic Commando would be a close second.
I'm sorry but Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace on the PS1 is the best SW game ever made. Followed closely by the Battlefront series.
I'm biased and nostalgia clouds my judgement but I loved The Phantom Menace as a kid, that game was so much fun. I actually just purchased it for 10$ from a local game shop and I'm planning on playing through it again.
