I'm assuming most of you played Don't Starve, so I had a question. Do you know of any similarly dark-themed films, books, games or whatever? Just finished the story mode and it was somehow sad and very interesting and appealing to me, not sure why but I was drawn into it from the minute I saw the intro.

Thanks.

This game is kinda unique. However, like you, on an emotional level it elicited the same dark mood in me as well. The novel "The Road" (written by Cormac McCarthy) had a similar effect on me, although the stories are entirely different. I guess that's how you know if a survival/horror game has done its job: If it leaves you with a feeling of dread..

Dont Starve has a story?

Yes, it has. From Wikipedia:

The player assumes the role of a gentleman scientist by the name of Wilson, who is trying to make some sort of scientific advancement by pouring a liquid into a dish of powder, but without success when it explodes in his face. He sits down in a chair, tired of being unable to do anything right. Suddenly, Wilson's radio set begins speaking to him, and tells him he may learn forbidden knowledge to help him succeed in developing something that works. Wilson accepts, only to realize that the owner of the voice has tricked him. It belongs to a demon, of sorts, named Maxwell who uses the machine to transport Wilson, against his will, to a mysterious land where, it seems, everything is trying to kill the Gentleman Scientist. Here is where the player has control of Wilson, and aims to survive in a dangerous new world.

Well, just using your list, I'd say Watch Dogs followed by InFamous and Destiny.

I want to see more indies like "Don't Starve" as well. I'm really hooked on that game.

Yes, graphics do matter. It's how one can most immediately identify the evolution of gaming. The importance of AI is not, of course, to be diminished. However, just as it is when falling in love, physical attraction usually comes first. Inner beauty is something that you come to appreciate once you're already hooked.

Why is it "wrong" to want an inferior system to fail?

Nothing at all. It's Darwinism at its finest. The strongest, smartest and the most aggressive will always rule the roost, while the weak, stupid and timid will always wither away and die like the fragile fungi they are. This is the way of nature, business, and the universe as a whole.

For the same reason I haven't owned a box of crayons since I was eleven.

Adam who? Oh yeah, that little jizz stain who used to stand next to Morgan Webb on X Play. You guys speak of him as if his opinion actually means something. That effeminate weasel needs to understand that the only reason people even know his name (and only a handful at that) is because he used to co-host a popular show with a chick that every zit-faced adolescent dork with cable access in America jerked off to.

Perhaps M$ would have better served their customers by investing the millions they obviously spent bribing the makers of TitanFAIL to make their crummy little opus an Xbone exclusive into improving the hardware of the Xbone to ensure it could actually handle the basic requirements of next gen gaming. Pathetic.

Very little difference. Most "next gen" Xbox One games will opt for 720p or sub 720p for performance.

Fact is, most Lemmings don't give a shit.

Fixed that for you. The rest of the gaming world (that portion actually living in the 21st century and not bending over & spreading cheek for their Xbones) will be gaming in crisp, clear 1080p or above and enjoying and noticing the very discernible difference in resolution that.you erroneous claim does not exist.
