Christianity is just about the same way though.. We can't cherry pick likethis when we look at all rational points.. Realize that the middle east is mainly controled by extremists, or dicators in third world countries.. The last time we had anything remotely close like that was during the dark ages with christianity for the west.. When that happened, oh I don't know I think the Spanish inquistion alone burned tens of thousands of people at the stake for suspected witch craft.In the end every major religion can be very brutal.
true, Christianity has had some past mistakes and at times still does, as it is with most religions, however, that is the fault of the people, not the religion itself. these quotes are from the Quran itself, telling people to act this way. that is why you have all these extremists, their own religion practically justifies their actions in their eyes. the Spanish Inquistion was terrible, but it's not like the Bible clearly says to go off and kill anyone who doesn't believe.
and I was raised by a Christian mother and a Muslim father so I know both religions.
