I hear you, my 60gig launch model lasted for about 3 years as well.. Comes as a shock when it dies with the YLOD..

That said the 250gb Slim model is very nice.. Quiet and intergrates in well with my soundbar and TV...

Was thinking about this the other day.. When my wife was giving me ear ache for playing that f**king game.

I was trying to get the last illusive trophy for Dragon Age to get the platinum, must admit it had become a bit of an obsession..

Probably not much difference from being just hooked to the game but what do people think about it being more unhealthy?

Anti-social?

Anti-Exercise?

I managed to get the platinum trophy on the PS3 version, its very stable game play way.

Glitches a little graphically but not enough to spoil game play.

Apparently so.. I've logged in a couple of times over the last year to check if my profile is still active (it is)

However I don't have the time to invest in keeping up with the "experts" that seem to fill the servers. ;-)

Enjoyable game, had some class moments.

Think its time for a reboot!, Star hawk anyone?

I guess they are more ergonomic than the Sixaxis ones and are easier to use. The Dualshock controller feels better than the Sixaxis.

Its true that YLOD (front led flashes yellow) means (Critical Internal Problem) but the majority of the cases of the YLOD are exactly the same problem as the RLOD e.g. the motherboard has cooked itself to death. I recently had to replace my 60gig PS3 with a SLIM. At least Microsoft give you a replacement unit. The Slim is very quiet and is cooler.. But annoying it doesn't have memory card readers and PS2 compatibility but its not a show stopper.
[QUOTE="scar-hawk"]I heard very few stories about people who got their Slims YLoD and I can't guarantee that they weren't trolling. But I wouldn't worry about a thing :)soulreaper-4
Please people stop the ignorance of preading the term YLoD. That's not a defect like the Red Ring in the 360, it is just an indicator that an internal component is not working. It can be the lens, disc drive, power supply, gpu, cpu, memory, it can be anything.
