Great and useful review.. So an SSD is an energy efficient drive which is slightly faster than a conventional one.. No point buying a SSD but buying at least a 320gb is a must for media mad PS3 owner.. Going to go 1tb as soon as one is availvle under 100 quid. Oink

Very good I was wondering when somebody would do a PC/360/PS3 comparison.. I'm actually very surprised how little difference there is between the PC and the consoles, The PC's graphics card will cost you as much as the console alone lol. I don't want a noisy box connected to my TV in the living room thanks.. So I'lll stick to my PS3.. However I would like a 1080P version of Fallout 3 ;)

Apart from a few differences in contrast I don't see anything between them.... Which is interesting as I'd heard that Fallout was a PC port and wasn't very good on the PS3. Think I'll hold off buying it for a while though.. wait for the price to go sub 30 quid before I get it.. Still playing littlebigplanet!!! ;)

Got one yesterday.. and its great... I'm really impressed by the 1080p upscaling.. and yes it is nice to pause live TV. Since gamespot doesn't have a slot for it I've stuck my full review on my blog.

Fantistic do we have a release date yet... I've been running a MythTV linux server with 3 DVB tuners for a number of years. I use the PS3 as a frontend (IMHO its the best mpeg2 player on the market!!). I'll be getting one of these ASAP..
