I work at gamestop, and I've actually had a few people come in and cancel their ps4/xb1 pre orders due to the fact that Watch Dogs isn't coming out until 2014. There are plenty of other good looking titles for launch, but it's hard to deny that Watch Dogs was one of, if not the top, draw for next gen.
Another game I would add to the list would be the Yakuza series. One thing it has working for it is a pretty engrossing story that flows through 5 main games, plus a bunch of spin offs. Yakuza 4 was the last to be released in the states, and it has multiple characters, hostess dating, owning your own bar, golf, darts, karaoke, and pretty much everything else you can do in GTA, and set against reimagined areas of Tokyo/Japan, just as GTAV is set in LA/Cali.
