Feedbackula - Steam Sale Sourness
The Autumn Steam Sale is now on, and surprisingly not everybody is happy about it. Johnny stops browsing for cheap games for a minute to sift through the comments.

The guy that said console peasants or some shit must be stupid, Ps Store is having the January sale. bf3 8 Euros, Mass Erec- I mean Effect is 8 Euros too.
People getting bent out of shape because of a game SALE ???? really?? the internet gets a little more retarded every day.
Bought Far Cry 3 for $7.49! I'm working my way to playing it once I finish around 8 more unplayed games bought on Steam sales.
"tickets on sale now" -- Johnneh
*claps* brilliant, good show lads!
Feedbackula is better (and more cynical) then ever; and it serves us right.
When I started watching this episode, I thought it was going to be kinda lame. People mad over a steam sale? Who could be mad? But then I saw the "Lol, Steam" thing and that made it one of the funniest Feedbacula episodes since you started doing navy propaganda.
Ah, FF9; how I miss you.
Edit: Apparently wasn't FF9's music; but sure was damn similar. That + the acting (play) made it seem like a reference.
@DAOWAce >not knowing famous 19th century poetry
@PaperthinTV@DAOWAce I tend to not know a lot of famous stuff I don't have an interest in, be it history, music, literature, etc.
I just do and learn about what I enjoy, which is gaming, IT and health.
@DAOWAce it does sound similar.
Funny the Skyrim DLC thing was mentioned, I've been barking on about that for months. Bunch of bastards @ Bethesda.
Nobody at Valve thought it was a good idea to change the timers on the featured page on the last day, so that it said "Sale Ends in xx:xx:xx instead of , NEW DEALS in xx:xx:xx" - That caught me out earlier this evening so the end result was that I missed the sale.
I think these sales are becoming redundant. Many of the awesome games have been on sale a ludicrous number of times, an with Humble Bundle around I get many games for even less than on Steam. :\
@UKFX Those who don't own the games will have multiple chances of owning it at the price they want it. How is it redundant? Maybe you've just bought all the games you see go on sale. The humble bundle is not a library of video games like Steam is. It is a weekly deal.
@PaperthinTV@UKFXYes, redundant for me, an way to go pointing out the Humble Bundle obvious.
Do bear in mind that many folks like myself have bought tons of games, so perhaps they could vary things a bit by putting other games on sale whilst keeping some of the popular ones in sale as well. Not exactly difficult to strike a balance now, is it?
Brilliant skit. I want to see costumes next time.
Steam sales are always great, kind of justifies the extra cash you put down for a nice PC. It is a bit disheartening to see games go on sale when you just bought them recently though.
@bbq_R0ADK1LL The great thing about the Steam sales is the consistency though. They have the same sales at roughly the same dates each year so it's really easy to predict them. You know they're gonna have a summer sale, a halloween sale, a christmas sale and so on. So if you want to buy a game and you're reasonably close to one of the sales you just wait. If you have the willpower that is. It's really easy to avoid the "I just bought this game for 60 bucks last week and now it's on sale for 7 buuuuuuucks!!!!" situation.
@bbq_R0ADK1LL That skit doesnt even match the one they did with the Lara croft episode! That is the epitome of feedbackula!
@Darth_Aloysius He almost did on the GTA V review Feedbakula. He seemed on the verge of canceling the show entirely.
Off-topic, but I really liked the preview thumbnail for this Feedbackula. He looks so gleeful and yet deliciously sarcastic. Props to all those involved in making that thumbnail.
@KBABZ That would be Sarah! I'll pass on your compliments.
@SHEETBIKE Sweet thanks! Too bad there isn't a lit of contributors for an article or a video piece to go to.
What a beard! Oh sorry, that was last week.
Seriously though, things always get funnier when Seb enters.
Bought my first steam game over the weekend. Got Metro Last light for $14. So far, enjoying the game. It was a great deal considering the game is currently selling for $49.99 on console.
@spartanx169x I also picked up Last Light on the same deal. I wasn't going to get it until it was where I wanted it to be.
The worst thing people don't notice - based games are Ok cheap (not very cheap), but DLCs make the whole bundle much more expensive.
Am I just too cynical or are games getting worse every year? I can't find many games worth playing anymore. The Steam sale would be a lot better if there was games I wanted to buy. =(
I love it when the Steam sales go live and I love it when they end. I just can't pass on a good deal, but that means spending around $50 for games I wasn't initially planning to spend. Oh well, first world problems I guess.
@93ChevyNut the amount of games you could potentially get on sale compared to the value of one new release is staggering.
