As a long time fan of the series I'm disappointed that Snake won't be voiced by Hayter anymore, but I'm also not convinced this is gonna be a good game yet either. Hayter voicing Snake is really a trademark of the game. It a bit puzzling to mess with the successful formula now as it could kill the franchise permanently.

The first part of the story seems to take place after Peace Walker, probably no more than 4 years later. It will probably start with Big Boss going to rescue Paz and failing to do so, as in the first trailer the scarred face man suggests she didn't suffer. There is no real indication what happened to the boy, presumably Chico, but he was either taken away by XOF or also killed, I assume taken. Big Boss realizing his mission is a failure gets a distress call from Mother Base and returns to save Miller. Miller asks Big Boss what happened, where Paz is and BB informs him that she is dead and Miller punches the hull of the helicopter. Their helicopter gets shot down during their escape and they crash resulting in BB' coma, Miller's injuries and whoever the third person is. This third person is probably the one that stays with BB during his 9 year coma. The fact his face is covered in bandages it could be Gray Fox, who got his ears and nose cut off in Mozambique and was rescued by BB. Perhaps they all escaped Mother Base together. Considering their history Gray Fox owing his life to BB a few times, remains there during those 9 years to repay the debt. After those 9 years the awakening of BB makes him a threat once again and XOF is sent in again to finish the job. Big Boss escapes with help from a few friends. Gets injured during the escape again, but lives and escapes. Gets back in shape, artificial hand installed, similar to the one seen at the beginning of Peace Walker and starts his plans to rebuild and get payback. Presumably upon his coming to FOXHOUND, a cloned arm is offered to replace the artificial arm, keeping the original storyline intact.

@Biggs613 @fotis52 Actually MGS4 takes place in some middle eastern country, South America, Eastern Europe, Shadow Moses Island and on board Outer Haven.

This game is a waste of money! The only reason I decided to get it was to have some MP matches with and against my friends. I hadn't played a first person shooter for a while so in an attempt to get back to my previous level of skill I played through the campaign. The campaign is such an incoherent mess and even on the hardest setting a walk in the park. The main character David, has no character, he's an incredibly shallow person, no depth, not a thing is interesting about him. At times playing mission from the POV of other characters, like Alex Mason and Frank Woods is nice break from David.

The story itself is so f*cking ridiculous and uninspired and the whole time I was thinking the original Black Ops had a decent story to it, this is just garbage, if that. And then you get to the end, anti-climactic to the extreme, disappointing as hell and taking down the bad guy to end the game felt like such a cheap finish, I kinda felt like turning the game off and breaking the disc in half. Hell the "music video" at the end is probably the best part of the game.

And then there's the MP. It's a mess from start to finish. The menus are a pain in the ass, no overview whatsoever, finally do get the option to turn off aim assist, thank god for that, it screws up my shots more often than it helps, but the MP is even worse than it was in the original Black Ops. MW3 is a masterpiece compared to the level of crap BO2 is.

As far as I can tell this takes place in the 80's, Big Boss looks like he's in his 50's. The boy in the cage looks like he's in his early teens, making it more likely that the kid is Liquid when you see the blonde hair and he gets tossed a walkman, once more suggesting this game takes place in the 80's. This game probably has everything to do with Big Boss, the Les Infants Terribles project and Big Boss' turn to his Outer Heaven ideal. It's the missing piece of the puzzle that is the MGS saga.

The main character is probably Big Boss and this game will probably have to do with the Les Infants Terribles project that spawned Solid and Liquid. There's still a lot of mystery surrounding the project itself and it could definitely wrap up the whole Metal Gear story.

Looking forward to this, definitely NOT an MGS game, but still looks fun to play.

I don't see much competition for the UnrealEngine 4 at this moment, that's just damn impressive! I've always been a big fan of the engine. They should recreate the original Unreal with the UE4.

@ZOD777 I last played it 2 years ago, on the highest possible settings and resolution, on a pretty beefy PC and I can guarantee you it looked better than some fairly recent shooters. Of course the game itself is set in a lot of dark areas, making it rather difficult to compare to games set in the outside world full of light and differing textures. Granted it will feel a bit dated but there are plenty of shooters that still have a hard time beating it when it comes to visuals.
