Nothing will beat WoW until people lose general interest in the game - not because some other game will interest them more. WoW has had nearly a billion dollars in development effort. The cost of entry to beat that is too large for any company in the world to attempt.

Not true. Big companies have deluded themselves and their fans into thinking that the cost of development is the only measure for how well a game will sell. Lost are the power of creativity and innovation. Most of the other MMORPGs have fallen because they either couldn't innovate, or couldn't make something innovative and fun at the same time. Bioware has definitely shown great promise in their ability to innovate something that is fun and fresh, and I have hope for SWTOR. You both are correct to some degree. Correct, nothing will ever beat WoW, but all other games fail because they try to simply clone WoW.
[QUOTE="Charles_Dickens"] Nah, there's not nearly enough solo missions available - the game forces you to group. Age of Conan, on the other hand, is the most solo-able RPG on the market right now. Absolutely AoC is basically a single player game. I have yet to check out LoTRO, and listening to you guys maybe i should.
I would NOT recommend AoC. It may be different but it is lacking content, most people get bored after a few days. Anyway, i would say wait for Aion, or the old republic.
