[QUOTE="Apollo5000"][QUOTE="vendettared468"][QUOTE="Mumbles527"]Theres no reason to over think tiny decisions. Do what feels right. If it goes well, good for you...if it goes poorly, deal with it. I think I've made more than my fair share of bad decisions, but I'm not dead yet.vendettared468
or they could just not have cought up with you yet....
I doubt a small decision like wearing a different pair of socks three years ago is going to get me killed today. Granted everything little thing that happens has a drastic effect on your life, for example. About 2 weeks ago i got a phone call that in a sense changed my future for the next 3 years. Now had i missed that call or my phone was broken or what have you my life would probably be pretty different. So yes i get what you mean, but what if an origanality freak saw that you had the same pait of socks on as him and spent the last 3 years debating weather or not to kill himself.........alright maybe im going to far but you never know
and good example
A better scenario is maube 3 years ago those socks contained a leathally toxic material.
I'm one of the few that were blessed with playing through the Marathons back in the day. I doubt you'll find many others, though. And yes, I agree that Marathon had a better story than Halo. Just reading the ending screen of infinity again makes me all nostalgic.
"Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.
I know who you are.
You are destiny."
I'll probably never forget those words :P.

That's why I wish they would do an update or something. When the books are writtern will Bungie be not known for one of the greatest Sci-Fi stories (Period). They will be know for Halo, and Marathon will sink further into obscurity.
Lately as the hype for halo 3 becomes bigger and bigger,I find myself a little resentful towards Bungie. I'm not knocking the developer or Halo (So please put your torches down). When I look at what Bungies done I can help but think about what might have been if instead of Halo they had done a true genuine update to the old Marathon games (Yes i know there are bits and pieces of Marathon in Halo, but Bungies already declared that the games are not apart of the same univers). I guess maybe it's nostagila for a time when instead of cinematics and great graphics all a game had to truly go on was story and gameplay... Halo has the gameplay, but... In my opinion not the story. Anyone else remember Marathon (reading the last days of the alien races and what not) or feel the same?
And if you have neveer played Marathon go to Bungies site, they have the whole trilogy for download... Beware Marathon Infinity... It's ruthless at times.
