Still too early to tell. One's a sequel to a great film, the other is a new addition to the comic book movie lexicon. If you REALLYwanna compare comic movies, there's The Incredible Hulk opening next summeras well.
ya to me SO FAR both movies look really intresting..im a huge iron man fan and to me everything ive seen on it so far is staying true to the comic..not to say dark night wont i dunno but im liking the direction they are going with iron man..and robert downey jr..will kick A$$ as tony stark

At least with Iron Man, There is a good lead actor and a director who has made a couple of decent--if not profitable--films(Swingers, Elf.) Can't say that for Ghost Rider.
The Dark Knight will be more successful at the box office. Why? Because it has a better director, better cast and better characters. Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Eric Roberts, Michael Fitchner...its an all star cast. Not to mention it has a great plot, and all of Christopher Nolan's movies have been a success. Marvel movies have been on the decline over the last few years. All of their recent movies have sucked (like Spiderman 3 and X-men 3), and Iron Man is an annoying character. Im personally only going to see it because I like Robert Downey Jr...

Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor, but I don't see him drawing in crowds to see this. Batman Begins had it's flaws and I hope they're fixed for the sequel. I was somewhatdissapointed in Christian Bale as Batman, he came off corny in some places and I was not expecting it from the guy who was in American Psycho and The Machinist.
I'd say batman will be the better movie, but Iron Man will see more success since their going to market it to children and children are gonna be like OMG IRON MAN and force their parents to take them to see it like 100 times

1 hes the leader of sheild he has hundreds of troops
2 He has the exrtemis virus which can grow back organs heal bones ect.
3 He modified his own version of spidermans Spider Sense i.e. dodging any stray bata-rangs
4 Hed prolly develope a suit just for fighting batman simmilar to his hulk buster suit

Iron Man will do okay. I don't think it's going to make as much as the Dark Knight, but it'll do well on it own. Plus, having an earlier release date will take the worry of having thr Dark Knight cut into their take. (Iron Man is scheduled to open May 2, Dark Knight will open July 18.)

Mentioned. It suprises me how many people think Batman Begins was a prequel to Tim Burtons Batman. Its a total reinvention of the series, just like Casino Royale is reinvention of the Bond series...

im pretty sure both of them will be great movies...The Dark Knight is definite...Iron man is who knows? also having the dark knight as the title will mess with ticket sales because the n00bs notice there is no batman in the title...but im alot more excited for iron man
