[QUOTE="senses_fail_06"]Avoid the first game as it blows. The 2nd and 3rd are worth the price of admission though. FrozenLiquid

Based on the tiny bit I played of ME2, it's not much better than the first.

Story-wise it lets loose. Far and away better than that archvillain plot of the first game.

it does not however fit into the established universe as well. the second villain has an illogical plan, carried out through a method that destroys the premise of the first game, and is itself rendered pointless by the events of 3

Team Fortress 2, before the Age of Hats.

I wish I could have been there in those early days. :(

It's **** movie mostly. The idea of complex machines creating other complex machines is **** because machines are not smart enough to create other complex machines without humans telling them what to do.

Also the idea of the T-1000 didn't really work for me. To build a machine composed of billions of nanoscopic machines is just not practical in reality. That's why the T-1000 idea doesn't work but it's still nice idea, maybe if only in concept.

T-1000 concept not realistic

pariah3

besides the t1000, I think the idea was that skynet was the first true sentient AI, starting that hypothesized technological singularity, when a machine can make itself smarter or build better machines. what good is it to say "well it just can't be that way", when it's not known if AI are impossible?

ME1 is the only story really worth seeing. I'd say newcomers play that and hope that in ten years the series can be rebooted with better sequels that aren't sidetracked by being the Dirty Dozen/Lord of the rings-in-space.

I was hoping from the earliest video that the game would be more deliberate, where every slash would cut the enemy, where a super sword would feel like what it was supposed to be. why would that mean it would not have been good? it would have been a different type of game.

Cortana's jugs are saggy. I just wanted to comment on that. If you're gonna go through the trouble of trying to make her a sex object(which is gross on so many levels), why are her t1tties saggy looking. jg4xchamp

it's cause she's all corrupted now. rampant, degraded, space-crazy, AI-is-a-crapshoot etc. by the end of the game she's gonna look like THIS

I haven't paid attention to 4's marketing. how do ya'll think it compares to previous halos? halo 2 had that crazy demo, 3 had the diorama that made you think you'd be fighting the most epic battle for earth, on earth soil. and reach made you believe you'd have a "more human" story, but the characters hardlyy mattered. is the same overzealous marketing team at work for this game? what gaps do you predict between the designed expectations and the final product?
