I thought the same of the 3DS, but the Street Pass feature ended up being one of things I most enjoy. I now use my 3DS more than my PSP for this reason. I wouldn't diss it until you've experienced it.
I'm just thankful they got Skyrim working on the PS3 in the first place. That was an awesome game, the first game I ever got all of the trophies for. In fact, it was the best video game experience I've ever had...
If the DLC doesn't come, that's fine. There's more than enough to do in the original game.
It's time for Final Fantasy to take a console generation break. This series has been run into the ground. Yes, I liked FFXIII but versus looked ridiculous. I remember when Square Enix used to try to make other games, time to shelf the whole Final Fantasy brand for a while.
Please, it's time to let this series die. The last great Metal Gear game to come out was The Twin Snakes, the only game in the series [besides the oringinal] with a tolerable story.
Well he's right about Nintendo success not being repeated in the same way they had success with the Wii. Like them or hate them, the DS and Wii were revolutionary. No company has ever followed up a revolutionary generation with an even more successful one. The SNES didn't do as well as the NES did. The Gamecube didn't do as well as the N64 did. And the Gameboy Advance didn't do as well as the original Gameboy did. That's just the way it is. Is the Wii U the end of Nintendo? No. In fact, we've heard the same thing countless times before, and they're still here. It's important to note that Mr. Pachter is wrong more often than Nintendo is.
You're right about underwhelming sales. But I think the 3DS was designed for Japan, and it's doing great over here. I think we're still along way off from Nintendo going the way of Sega though. It may happen, but not this decade. Not worldwide anyway.
