All Final Fantasys are too culturally specific now. To say they're too Japanese would be inaccurate; they're too pop-culture Japanese in terms of artistic design and the gameplay has been stagnant since Final Fantasy X. Even a large portion of Japanese gamers are done with Final Fantasy. The utter failure of Final Fantasy XIV is the beginning of the downward spiral of the series. Final Fantasy versus XIII and the next gen E3 demo looked like utter garbage. Why? Because the series hasn't evolved for a decade. It's time for Final Fantasy to take a break for a console generation or so. But they'll make a remake of Final Fantasy VII in abouit two years or so...when they're desparate for cash.

What?!? I thought Frostbite 2 would be the long awaited sequel to Activision's Atari 2600 game. It's just a game engine? LAME!

He's right. Look at the new Mortal Kombat. 10 years ago, a game that graphic wouldn't see the light of day. Now, people just say that "it's supposed to be a joke" to justify it. At least MK has the fantasy setting going for it. Other games are doing the same things in a realistic context.

Well, that's the end of Silicon Knights. Eternal Darkness was great, but Nintendo owns that license. Guess there's nothing to miss.

Is Resident Evil still popular enough to sell seven million? I think that estimate is a little generous....

Game Party, Just Dance 4, Raving Rabbids and Rabbids Party Land. Garbage titles. Pikmin (awesome) and a 2D Mario not so much different than the one I played on my DS in 2006. Decent third party games but with no trophies or achievement systems, difficult to choose over the existing consoles versions. You're not in very good shade Nintendo, the Gamecube had better prospects than this at launch.

Naw....things are changing, even here in Japan. Xbox360 may never break #3 here in Japan, but Microsoft is being taken much more seriously by gamers over here....they don't write off Microsoft as quickly as they did with the original Xbox. Ryan Payton got it spot on with what he said about the 360's problems in Japan. Someday, maybe not this generation, Microsoft will be formidable competition for Sony and Nintendo in the land of the rising sun.

The only difference I can see is in the lighting. It seems the PS3 can do more varied types of light but I guess it all comes down to what you prefer. The argument for graphics is kind of pointless. Let's compare the system's other features.

Final Finatasy VII will be remade. Who knows when, but it will. The game is just too popular.

I'm actually not looking forward to any of those. Not that I wouldn't want to play them, they just seem kind of...been there done that......although Spore......that could really be the game that offers something new....
