[QUOTE="LordAndrew"]He's criticizing the graphics rather than the 3D effects themselves. And he found it nauseating in long stretches. I imagine it could be. I mean, wouldn't it be like that in real life too? But based on what you read there, how could you possibly have reached the conclusion that he ignored the 3D? That's nonsense and you know it.KBFloYd

naw man... i feel like this is the kind of guy that plays the 3DS with the 3d off because he gets headaches.

Is that a bad thing? You don't actually want someone to keep playing with the depth up if it gives them headaches, do you? He acknowledged that the 3D works for the game, if he doesn't want to continue using it he doesn't have to. Especially if it gives him headaches as you've decided to assume.

i think the review should have been at least a 7 ...the game doesnt suck as bad as the review claimed..

KBFloYd

It's not your opinion in that review, it's someone else's. In your own words: "Fail..."

my opinion is the reviewer is Fail....they are reviewing the games and ignoring the 3d... the major point of resort and steel diver especially is for fun 3D effect.... the reviewer missed that entirely...as did many others..it seems they are starting to see their error(see rayman review)...

Whose reviews are we referring to here? GameSpot acknowledged that both Steel Diver and Rayman 3D had good 3D effects. If that's the most important thing for you, then that review has given you the information you were looking for.

I pronounce each letter separately: N.E.S. It's not a real word! And yet I have said "Sness" on multiple occasions. Maybe I'm just too lazy to spell out four letters.

Well, so far we know of Super Mario Land and Link's Awakening. StreetPass Mii Plaza also seems to be hinting at Kirby's Dream Land, which I'd totally be up for.

Of course it's not coded with it. DS don't have no home button. But that button still does something that DS games just don't do. They've already done something to change how DS games function on the 3DS. All they had to do was go just a bit further.

Professor Layton is available for at least one mobile phone. But only in Japan, so no one actually knows or cares about that. People actually want these games on the DS and 3DS. If I wanted to play games on a phone, I'd do that. Instead I use my phone as a phone, and to tweet about what I'm currently eating.

The only complaint I have is that most 3DS home screen functions are disabled when playing an original DS game. But thats basically a general issue of backwards compdiblity on any system.

Nah, that's just ridiculous. I mean, when you press that button it temporarily suspends the game to ask for confirmation. Perhaps puts it into sleep mode? I'm not sure about the implementation, but the game is nevertheless suspended for the duration. Surely it wouldn't have been a problem to suspend the game and actually bring up the home menu? I thought "Awesome, I'll be able to change the brightness from the home menu while playing a DS game," but apparently we can't. Why not? It doesn't really make sense to me.
