If parents restricted mature content from their young children that'd probably change a lot of things in our world. Last time I was in Gamestop some bimbo parents were asking for a game like "Halo or CoD" on Wii. When asked how old the child was they responded "6"... yah those games are rated "M" for Mature. He must be some super mature 6 year old. Honestly I wish people would just follow the rating system and perhaps then politicians so removed from the common world wouldn't create bills like this. I know that's only one argument but it's a valid one.
Their strategy is sound in my opinion with this. When black Friday hits and parents or non-pre ordering gamers are standing in the story looking at the new consoles they will want to break down and buy them. What will matter at that point is what is available. If XOne is there with extra controllers and a full suite of games then yah people are going to buy it just because it's there. The bottom line is console wars aren't won over pre-order numbers. They're won when common non hard core gamers begin to feel loyal to a system. Having a strong supply over the holiday season will go a long way to either of the companies in convincing the people who are still on the fence.
@DiverseGamer That's an extreme generalization. That's like if I said all people with Sackboy avatars are bad people, or anyone with the word Diverse in their name is a bad person.
After finding out how good people are talking about Titanfall and after seeing it in action (and it being the next big sci-fi shooter) I broke down and preordered an Xbox One. I agree CoD is fun, I play it on my Wii U (:P) and I enjoy it a lot. I do however agree that something new would be nice and I agree, this looks like it might be it.
Wow, I don't even know what to say about all the twitter hate and such. On another note I will say, if you have a solid product and it's selling well with people clamoring for more then why leave. Who cares what some guy who can't program a game or anything says. I bet when he works his first shift in a retail position in the future or something boring like that he'll have second thoughts.
