@dladz: I agree just look at the price of the current consoles. I stupidly bought my Xbox One as a Day One edition. Now 2.5 years later and they're almost half the price and with collectors editions. I'm never early adopting these kinds of things ever again. I'll buy the PS4 one when it's like $150 bucks. I'm kinda kidding but two years from now it'll likely be 40% less in price or it won't sell and eventually it'll be the modern Virtual Boy.
They're joking right? I wasn't planning on early adopting VR period but this is hilarious how expensive it is. I have a feeling that the 5.1 billion estimate is overly optimistic about how many people want to early adopt this technology. I could be wrong but it still seems way to expensive especially if you don't have a capable PC already.
@razeandjadith: As a WiiU owner if the NX isn't as powerful or more powerful than Xbox One or PS4 then I will likely skip it. I'm not enthusiastic that they're putting the WiiU to rest so quickly. Not surprised but not happy about it either. Xenoblades will likely be the first game I sink more than 20+ hours into so I feel like my WiiU hasn't gotten enough use.
I think it's great. I only hope that she continues to be a playable character in future Zelda releases. If they're serious they should include her as an option in all upcoming Zelda games to solidify her as a true female version of Link. When I was playing on my Gameboy back in the 90's I always thought Link looked like he could go either way so I agree why some people are asking "why"? I'm just happy that developers are getting more diverse in giving players options to express themselves. It's neat, it doesn't hurt the franchise and for many it won't help it but it makes me like Legend of Zelda even more.
@billzihang: I really only find that blaster good in close range fights. Medium to long range and it's kinda useless. I actually prefer the multi-shot blaster pistol over the DL-44.
@ltjohnnyrico: I kinda agree, it's a strong blaster but it's not so good that it makes you rule the battlefield. I prefer so many other blasters over it. My problem is why are people complaining about barrage when I feel that the pulse rifle (if used right it's a 1 hit kill period) and the impact grenade seem to be the things that get me the most when I least expect it. I don't want anything weakened really as I find everything useful in it's current state. In my opinion it really doesn't matter what blaster you play with just as long as you know when and how to use it. Just last night I was dominating with the E-11 and got first place on my team in regards to kills. I think new players have just as many opportunities as older players do to dominate people. What makes the older players do it more is that they know the maps better and the strategies.
@Sozialminister: Tell that to my burnt out PS4... worst buy this generation; at least for me. Not knocking it as a system, I loved it while it worked. Now however it's a paper weight in my closet while my Xbox One continues to chug along.
Honestly I can see how he would get frustrated. I know that I hate it when I'm doing amazingly well and a hero comes up and whacks me in less than two seconds. I also enjoy whacking people as a hero in less than two seconds. Everything he complains about he too can do. I find that skill and strategy play a lot in how well you do. As I leveled up I continued to avoid the jet pack. However at about level 25 I decided to grab it and pair it with barrage (pardon me if I got the level unlocking incorrect I don't have it in front of me). My fist play through with this combo on Supremacy Tattooine saw me net 41 kills without getting a hero. This is something that up until now I had not been able to achieve. So with the right star cards and play style you can do well. I find that since it's an "Arcade" style shooter (something Halo fans like he might need to remember) the play style favors the bold. I get more kills and wins when I spend less time trying to duck into cover than I do when I'm flying around full blasters and grenades. Yah I may get killed 8-10 times in a battle but when doing so I can (though not always) net 25+ kills. To me that's a good pay off.
I'm guessing that he is referring to the pulse cannon as the 1-shot kill weapon. Last time I checked in Halo you have both the sniper rifle and the pistol that can kill in 1 (or close to 1) shot. If anything the pulse cannon takes more time as you need to charge it up before firing and if your target ducks away you'll eventually auto fire because the rifle can't hold the charge. I find it a very effective weapon but not nearly the 1-shot win button kinda weapon he makes it out to be. To each their own. I'm loving the game, my complaint is they need more content. The core gameplay though is fun.
I'm really enjoying the game to be honest... not sure who this Benjamin Burnley is but honestly know I could care less. Yah the game needs more modes, maps and singleplayer options but it is a piece of art really. The graphics and sound are amazing. I only wish they could take all these gorgeous visuals and put them into a KOTOR style game set in the new SW7 era.
