Honestly I feel like they spent too much time with sounds and graphics and not enough time on gameplay and diversity in modes.

My PS4 is bricked at the moment... bad power supply or some such. However I picked up the collectors edition of this game because I'm an avid Dragon Quest fan. Thank you for this review and showing that I have one more reason to get my PS4 fixed asap. I think the toughest thing now is going to be waiting to play this game I only hope SquareEnix brings more DQ games to the states.

@zarathustra2k1: Adding more platforms didn't break up the community. I know this is a generalization but bare with me. When Battlefield first came out on Xbox/PS3 how many PC fans threw their PC's aside and ran off to play on the consoles? My guess is a very low percentage of them. The only thing adding more platforms did was create new communities where none existed before. So no I don't really see the point of consoles fragmenting the PC Battlefield community. It sounds like you were playing solo and encountered a bunch of other solo players and most of them were as you said... Rambo type players. My guess is you were playing on PC so I doubt that your experience on PC had anything to do with what console players were doing on their consoles. I'd recommend going out and finding a clan if you want more strategy in your games. As @gintoki stated you can really only blame developers for making bad games.

@indy_sigur: I loved the graphics, the sound and the Star Wars spirit. However after playing for a while I agree with yo u guys I just wished it'd been another game. I dunno call me crazy but I'd like an open world game with multiple planets and detailed space combat all with a similar vibe to a Fallout 4 kinda game... yah I know crazy right?

@zarathustra2k1: I can see your point but at the same time I don't. "Consolification" in my opinion is just another word PC players have made up to try and demean console gaming in general. I've been playing FPS's since they were invented and honestly I've only ever seen "strategy" in online FPSs when players make it happen (often via clans). A beta test is not a good place to find strategy in any form unless you had gone in with a clan or a group of players who intended on playing that way.

Blaming an entire set of platforms on the lack of player organization is just pathetic in my mind. I playe PC games and Console games and have at a various points in my life just stuck to PC games. The only difference in my opinion is what is under the hood. You get a bit of better graphics with PC and you have a keyboard and mouse with PC... that's about the only difference these days. So blaming consoles for the lack of community is just kinda odd to me.

Now I would argue that SW:BF is disappointing because it lacks community tools or because it can be shallow. I would throw in the lack of full bot battles would also be a problem. Everything that is right or wrong with this game is entirely up to game design not platforms.

Yes the truth is I don't have many bad dreams and recently I had a dream of being chased around by a giant monster and I thought it was fun. My wife who isn't a gamer however tells me that she gets LOTS of nightmares and is jealous that I almost never have them. Interestingly all your research seems to mirror my family's dream habits.
