[QUOTE="Free_Marxet"] Sounds like shes rationing.Free_Marxet

Rationing what?

I'm just saying that health insurance is not nearly as hard to get as people make it out to be. Besides the fact that there are programs already out there to help people with preexisting medical conditions and people who are too poor to afford insurance.

Rationing what you have, thus lowering your standard of living. This is the fear of republicans, in the field of healthcare. But healthcare is already massively rationed, and would probably be LESS rationed in a socialized system.

How is my standard of living lowered? Because I don't have digital cable? Because I don't get to eat out all the time? That's laughable. I have everything that I need for an excellent quality of life as it stands. Do I want more? Sure, that's why my husband is going to school. That's why I'll go when he's done. But now, even when we're tight on money we still have it better than most of the world.

So answer this, how is the government that can't run social security, the post office, or even cash for clunkers run healthcare?

First of all, I have a low income and I am supporting my husband who is in college at the moment and we can afford healthcare. We make it a priority to pay for healthcare. Sure it's hard, and man, sometimes I wish that we had a little more spending money, but we know that healthcare is very important so we cut in other areas, such as extended cable or eating out to pay for it.

Why not let people buy insurance across state lines? Why not institue tort reform? There are options other than government run insurance. The government can't even run the post office effeciently, so why in the world do I want them running such a massive and important program?

It's pretty much alleviated here. There are still a few shops that sell a box of 50 9mm rounds for $50 and up. It's ridiculous. But academy has range ammo somewhat reasonably priced, so I can still practice.

I lived in Lubbock till May. I moved to Dallas after I graduated from Tech for the new job. But I lived in Lubbock for like 20+ years and in Amariilo for a couple...basically lived in the Panhandle my whole life, until now. BTW: GO Tech BOOOO A/M...although lately there has been little reason to harass A/M fansrawsavon

Pshhh. There's never been any reason to harrass A&M fans. Ever. :P I've lived outside of Houston, Austin, College station for a year, and now Lubbock. Pretty much all of Texas except for Dallas.

What'd you study and how has it worked out for you? We're at a stage right now where it's hard to imagine "life after college".

In Lubbock while the husband attends TTU. Then off to College Station so I can finish up at TAMU.

That's my husband and I hiking in Palo Duro Canyon. It was 108F outside that day! I had a great time regardless. Lots of water and lots of sunscreen.

I'm 21 and a mid level manager at a Target store. I'm working there currently until my husband graduates college and then I will finish college. It's too expensive to do it otherwise and it's hard to get decent students loans with the economy how it is. What I don't get is that the assistant management of the store all have at least a bachelor's degree, most a masters. Why on earth would you study that hard, pay all that money just to work a minimum of 50 hours a week, some nights, and every other weekend? I just don't get it.

i'm not saying this is your fault, but no you don't. men sexually peak at 19, women in their 30's. so unless you're in the 30's age range, you will never feel the full extent of a man's sexual desire1995rox

Women reaching their sexual peak has nothing to do with men's desire. All that means it that a woman's sex drive is at its highest when she is in her thirties.

My mother just flat out asked me if I was a virgin. All I could do was stare blankly for a few moments and then say, "No." She then asked if I had any questions and if I was safe. It's kind of funny to think about it now, but we've always had an open and honest relationship.

As for my father, well I'm married now, so I'm sure he's figured it out. He's so traditional, though, that if he had known before he'd have freaked out. Although, I think one time he saw me putting condoms into my purse when I was out in my car once... He most likely blacked that out in his mind. :P
