@danusty Oddly the ps3 will also play ps1 games off disk with no issues. Really I'm serious go try it.

For crying out loud Sony why on earth can't you or MS just learn to get backwards compatibility as a standard feature. I'm truthfully still kind of pissed I had to keep my ps2 around because of this trash. Guess I'm going to have a ps2 and a ps3 sitting around now. geez.

I have never ever bought a console at launch but I am very very tempted after this conference.

@brunorr There are no winners in the "motion control war". We all lose because the vast majority of motion control games are total and utter garbage.

Considering that XBOX charges for an online experience often equivilant in game to other systems they had better be putting together one hell of a good set of services for users. I'm sorry but if I am going to put down good money on your console I expect more then "A better store layout" if I'm paying for online service.

This launch has had more in common with the wii then ever before after a few months and yes I can fully expect some devs to grab hold of the hardware out of the gate. Some of the best DS and ps2 titles came out shortly after their systems launch.

I'll just put this plainly and simply.

It doesn't even matter if the PC can push past the consoles at this point in time.

Most gamers won't spend 1200 or more on a gaming platform. People will spend 400 or even 500.

Devs make the games where most of the market lies. Most gamers are will continue to be console gamers because of the increased accessibility of consoles.

Personally I'll continue to keep both a decent gaming pc and a console so I don't miss out.

@MAD_BEAST @WCK619 Or that games won't continue to be produced for it. Hell the FIFA games are still releasing on ps2 last I checked.

Goodbye Atari. It's really too bad that the company had to bomb so hard after such an awesome system like hte 2600.

D3 is by no means garbage but it's no D2. Still for those who havn't touched the game in months recent patches have done a LOT to add some spice to the game.

But yeah the always online and RMAH are both horrible thorns in the games side.
