Between this and Diablo 3 I hope companies are taking note that many gamers will avoid always online products because of shitty performance.

Looks damn good. This better be on steam because I would totally buy it.

@ritswuka666 @Earl-of-Death @Darnasian actually anytime that a game gets above a 7 I pretty must put it on the buy list. After playing the demo I wasn't expecting this to be as good as previous god of war games but by no means does that make it a "bad" game.

I love how a lot of these comments are "Well all the other reviews say the multiplayer is great so this reviewer must be on drugs!" I hate to bust your bubble guys but popular does not in any reality mean correct. Fallacy of add populum.

Then again maybe this reviewer was on a blood soaked rage this is god of war after all.

well no ads and free online play with some of the geikai features Sony has promised makes this all very compelling. I just hope MS can keep up especially considering both the use of ads and paid service.

And the Wiiu is left out in the cold again by 3rd party devs. guess this is the generation where we find out if a home console could ever honestly stand on just the big N's games alone.

Just how many times will we buy the same Zelda, Mario and Metroid games every generation?

Also before I forget if a Steam based console brings the modding community and all it's wonderful products to the console gamer that's going to shake up the whole market. Imagine if your console version of Skyrim had access to thousands of well done player developed mods.

@LtReviews actually MS doesn't even have the aforementioned 3rd party support anymore. Almost all modern releases are cross platform even releasing on pc. With the way MS charges for companies to even release something as simple as a software patch on their services I think 3rd party support next generation may not be a strength for MS at all.

So a company coming into the market with a huge backcatelog and all the current titles selling them at lower rates isn't a competitor?

I have both consoles and a decent gaming PC and I can tell you already that most of my purchases for games are made through steam simply because of the freaking awesome sales.

If MS doesn't want to look at them as a competitor fine but I am looking forward to console gamers getting the kind of sales that renewed pc gaming. Yep I went there Steam is directly responsible for renewing interest in pc gaming and now it's coming your way console gamers. Rejoice for way way cheaper games.
