@jack_is_cool @JukedSolid If the game is set in Rio de Janeiro and the character is a brazilian guy with an american accent, then that would piss me off too. However, if the game is in New York and the guy has a new york accent, then obviously it makes sense. Maybe if there was a yardstick of "Have an accent in the game that is compatible within a 1,000 mile radius of the location unless the story provides an explanation" things would be much nicer. This game is within the realm of reason I suppose, but it would be best if a healthy amount of french voice actors were included. At least on the NPC's. Like in Deus Ex Human Revolution. Plenty of Chinese voice actors added a nice level of authenticity to the region Adam Jenson was exploring.
You know I also find it annoying that casting decides to pick someone with a British accent no matter where the game is set, but in this case it wouldn't be that big of a stretch. London to Paris is less than 300 miles away. Those aren't even cities very close to the channel either! Geography people. Seriously, it makes sense, so use your heads.
@Blitzkrieg129 They're at a real disadvantage as a company. Nintendo is very different from microsoft and sony since they don't only do the hardware, but the software as well. It's a proven method that shows specialization of industry defeats a non specialized company. They'll put out games slower despite having how high quality they are. I myself, like many other, am a huge Zelda fan. I really want to see Nintendo succeed as much as possible, and I have really enjoyed their recent games as well as the old ones. I just hope they do really well at this year's E3 because it looks that will be the make or break for a lot of people. Come check out the Legend of Zelda Union if you wanna drop a post and share your thoughts. Things are too dead over there lately.
@freesoulvw Even if they did manage to spark controversy and get people talking about it I don't really think this would get an ordinary person to want to buy their product any more than they would before. My thoughts on the matter are "Gross. I still don't want to buy it." But I do see how this would have a more far reaching effect in advertising to people that are interested in that genre. Although in this case it just seems like the people turned on by bloody tits.
I remember whenever my parents would buy me some crappy game for my birthday or Christmas, it would always be a THQ game. I swear that was their primary target demographic with all those movie or cartoon based games. Idiot parents that don't know what a good vidgame is.
@buffaloblitz85 @JukedSolid Why did they get rid of that to begin with? It was a long, long time ago anyhow, but I like it. Probably go huge lengths to fix this bipartisan sludge they have to wade through every freaking time they want something to happen.
