The game looks nice visually... but that's because this game (I'm assuming) repeats the same strategy as the first (and probably the second, which I didn't play because I got bored of the first after 15 minutes) where they just lazily make you repeat the same 5 minutes of "game play" over and over again.
And that's not even touching his b.s. remarks about mobile devices vs. consoles. Whatever, he's probably getting paid to try and polish this turd to anyone who isn't a moderately serious gamer, let him spin away.
The game series has featured insta-kill knife attacks no matter where the knife hits the opponent... now they have guns in the vacuum of space. He needs to take his head out of his ass and realize his game is in no way based on reality.
Is it going to be like the first two games, where they just repeat the same little bit of content over-and -over-and-over-and-over again? The graphics were amazing for being a mobile game, but I got tired of that first game about 15 minutes into it, didn't even try the second. I rarely replay games, so the idea of a game where you replay the game until you've replayed it enough times that you finally beat it doesn't really appeal to me.
I'm still getting an xb1... eventually. Microsoft displayed its true greed and lack of care for their customers earlier this year with the unveiling of the xb1, and even after all the damage control they attempted to pull they Still looked like complete A-holes. While I've never been a fan of Sony, I Can say that they've never disgusted me the way MS has. And this is coming from someone who loved the original XBox over the PS2 and Gamecube, AND the XBox 360 over the PS3 and Wii/Wii U.
There's a few problems with this. There aren't any sales numbers posted on the top sellers list, it only shows where items are in comparison to others. There's about 5 different versions of the PS4 compared to a single version of the XBox One listed on the top sellers list. And Micrososoft supplied brick and mortar stores with a handful of XBox reserve consoles, they decided to supply more with online retailers.
People are usually crapping on IGN... funny how they're using IGN to defend the idea that this game (which they almost assuredly haven't played yet) deserves a perfect score. I don't get why people get so pissy when a reviewer gives a game they like (or in this case, are hyped for) a bad review. How does it invalidate your opinions (or future opinions, in this case) of the game? This is not even mentioning the fact that 8/10 is considered "Good" by most standards. But whatever, I know, I'm just going to feed the trolls at this point, "reason" has no place on the internet.
@FlawlessGoBot Well they are Brits, so it was either they act like they're in a Monty Python's Flying Circus skit, or they chase each other around while playing the Benny Hill music.
Looking forward to the switch: I loved Rift when it was released, but there wasn't enough to make me keep paying the monthly fee. Hopefully when I return there'll be enough new content and a repopulated community to keep me involved in the game again.
