@FrozenLiquid: The truth is there have been a handful of people throughout the years, including most of the "original" Star Citizen developers that left due to various reasons, a lot of which revolve around Chris Roberts's decision making. It's not all been peaches and cream at CIG and to say otherwise kind of proves a person's lack of knowledge of the situation. They suffered some pretty early growing pains. When the scope of the game exploded they suffered a bit more.
I basically write off the first year of development to poor management. They were more focused about staying in the spotlight and making more money than actually managing the project. They've been pretty clear that their development pipeline was a mess for the longest time. Once they realized the scope was beyond anything they thought of they promptly cut off promises of new content. As development continued they straightened out their development pipelines and started getting some serious work done. Sadly most of this work has been back-end stuff to make the CryEngine able to handle the scope of the game. It's not very front-end heavy so it feels like nothing is getting done.
Chris Roberts is a micromanaging perfectionist. Not the greatest for a lot of creative minds to work under. Anybody who really follows Star Citizen's development can see this. So a lot of the complaints against management probably ring with truths.
What's not true is going to be the blatant violations of federal law with the racism and whatnot. What we've got is a bunch of disgruntled ex employees that have been rallied together by Derek Smart to smear CIG. He has a personal vendetta against the game for some reason. It's probably because he's a narcissistic asshole. Another thing that's just not going to be true is how CIG is "out of money" or CR has been taking the crowfunding money for himself. There is no evidence of that at all. That's purely fiction they are using to push their agenda against CIG.
