Your commander in Crackdown. Whenever I hear "skills for kills agent" I want to punch someone in the face.

Mass Effect and Fable 2 are the best. As for JRPGs, I like Lost Oddysey.

[QUOTE="mtbrdude87"]

Simple answer: Rainbow Six. The amount of strategy required in the game keeps all the kids with short attention spans out, so there's none of that annoying crap that plauges halo and gears. You CHOOSE what map/game type you want, and you can even customize game options. As for it being a camp fest, you'll find that there are very few places to camp, and even if you find a nice juicy spot, it won't be safe for very long.

The only thing that sucks is that most of the community has moved on to the CoD games. At this point in time I'd pass over the original R6: Vegas and go straight for the second one, if you're looking for online fun. If you also enjoy single player then get the first R6: Vegas as well, because the story is better in it :)

protoking

I actually own R6V2 but only bought it because my friends said they were going to....bastards didn't and left me alone with it. I beat campaign and haven't touched it much yet.

As mentioned in my OP I hate games where I die in seemingly two shots... are there any game modes that let me instantly respawn?

Dying in two shots from a pistol from half way across the map and then waiting 5 min to play again is pretty boring IMO.

Unreal Tournament 3 lets you instantly respawn after you die.

I have the full game and I'm currently at level 7. The game is good but I personally find NG2 better but in some aspects, NB is better. The combat is nowhere near NG2 but it has some cool sequences (like diving down and fighting the monsters on your way down) but those turret sections are lame! The character looks stupid but the story is better than NG2's so far. I like how QTEs are heavily involved in the game, especially in the cinamatics. The moves that Ken pulls off after doing the QTEs right never gets old. The boss fights are also good and they are more like God of War rather than NG2 because you finish em' off and guess what? another QTE pops! Oh, did I mention you can customize your character? Yay! But you can only change his suits pattern, colors and emblems so he will remain stupid but with your own personal touch :P! You have to unlock the patterns and emblems through the course of gameplay though. The graphics are ok but not great. Environments are kinda repetitive and they are not destructible (only small objects). The character design obviously need work but they are not that bad after you get used to them but NG2 was better at this. The sound is good but I can't stand the english voice acting! Good thing that you can change them to Japanese since it is way better. Some characters in the game are bland and lack depth, especially the American dudes in the game which make them very annoying. Overall, it is good and defiantly worth a try.

I usually research before buying but sometimes I buy games on impulse. The only games I bought on impulse were GoW, GoW 2, Halo Wars and Ninja Blade.
